what to do with my damaged blue 172 cup, advice please people, GUTTED

If you're in the Midlands, PM Fred @ BTM - see if he knows of a particularly good bodyshop nearby? D.

Snow socks got me home :-)

Seem like a great idea. I need a decent run-up to get past a 50ft or so incline on the lane near us. The problem being that the start of the run-up is a 90-degree junction. Taking it too fast could plough me into any traffic coming down the lane. For the expense, these sound like a perfect...

One game to finish off this Christmas?

I really enjoyed the SP story - some great set pieces too. Well worth attempting m8. :) D.

Thinking of getting a 182 but what colour?

Don't forget that the specification changes slightly for the 182 based on the colour. An inferno or racing blue 182 will be a 182 Cup, whereas the black gold 182 won't be. D.

Thinking of getting a 182 but what colour?

All the comments about black gold being difficult to keep clean are 3,000% true. It looks truly awesome when cleaned, PC'd and polished. But then a gnat in Libya decides to fart and the resulting effect is that the 182 is caked in s**t again. It has the perfection looking lifespan of around...

One game to finish off this Christmas?

Has anyone got a game that they are determined to finish off over the Xmas period? There's a few that spring to mind for me, but I'm definitely going to finish off that bloody Batman Arkham Asylum! Just at that bit with Killer Croc's Lair - so I don't think I'm too far from the end before I can...

Thinking of getting a 182 but what colour?

Inferno, black gold or racing blue? Not thought of liquid yellow or even better, petrol blue? :) D.

I really want to be impressed with BC2 Vietnam. But I just keep getting horrible, horrible flash-backs of Battlefield Vietnam. I'll still buy it because at under a tenner, it would be stupid not too. If however, it was full price, I think I'd hang on a while until the price dropped. D.

[PC/Xbox360/PS3] Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Official Thread

That's the double-edged sword with big game updates unfortunately. People flock to the newest addition and ignore the stuff that made the game great in the first place. As said, Port Valdez is one of my favourites and that's pretty much been abandoned now unfortunately. :( When people desert an...

    Ohhhh noooo

Do you know if there's any record of the gearbox oil being changed, m8? It maybe completely unrelated, but my 182's on 80k now and I've had the gearbox oil changed three times - and will do again when it reaches 84k. I'm not saying it will make your gearbox bomb-proof but it certainly can't do...

Bit of a obvious pointer, but do you have a certain set of game search filters enabled? I used to select either Arica Harbour or Port Valdez for the most part, but since the new maps have arrived, I've only seen the occasional server supporting them. On the PC version too (retail, not Steam)...

    PC spec help

This for definite. The nVidias are extremely capable cards, but I suspect a little OTT for simply displaying multiple charts etc, like you mentioned. Such cards are high-end graphics intensive bits of kit, designed for things like shading, lighting, and polygon rendering. I'd PM Sharky UK if I...

    Mass Effect 3

What I liked about ME2 is that it was such a complete step up from ME1. The original got a little bit tedious for me - literally upgrading each weapon with a +1 over the exact same weapon you had before. ME2 was a huge leap forward. I've only played it once, straight through to the end and...

Gran Turismo 5 Or Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

Very easy m8 - something that any kid with a controller could pick up and play. I actually use a 360 controller for this on the PC version as I think it would be pretty bad using a wheel with it. Have you played any of the previous Burnout or Flatout series? The handling is very much like that...

    Jetwashed Engine Issues

Yep. When I replaced my spark plugs, pots 2 & 3 had really badly corroded heads on the plugs themselves. I was actually worried about being able to get them out at all at one point. :( Managed it though and in line with what Tony says - the outer lip of the spark plug hole was damp and orange...

Gran Turismo 5 Or Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

Just got to Lvl 5 Patrolman on NFS. Some proper rolfcopter moments on the pursuits - like getting to 206mph and the suspect car is still pulling away.... ;) The further you get, the more the racers have multi-weapon systems against you as well. Get the EMP warning coming through from a...

Just had my car washed at the Trafford Center - DONT BOTHER!

The problem with places like these (unless you know of a particularly excellent one) -are that they are just that - a car wash. The vast majority of car owners - especially those with company cars who are expected to keep them relatively clean, will not give a flying fcuk. Chuck them the keys...

Gran Turismo 5 Or Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

You probably did this the right way around. Have NFS for the next few weeks, then have time and commitment to do GT5 some justice in the New Year. From what Brown Bear says, GT5 takes some time to get into it first, anyway. :) D.

Gran Turismo 5 Or Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

Got NFS for the PC today and I really like it. Sure, it's not a simulation as such and the speed perspective at times makes it feel like the car is doing 380mph rather than the indicated 150 or so. But it's a good novelty playing as the cops - building up the speed, then side-swiping the rear...
