I would avoid the 225 block as the bellhousing is huge on them a jc5 box will not bolt to it the cam followers are weak on them all as i am keep being told ! i have a cut race lump being rebuilt at the min as i seized mine in reggie when the sump oil escaped through a large hole
as sean6545 said sounds like pos fuel pump but 1) take a clean white cup and take a fuel sample from the pump return look for metal particles they will be tiny if that is confirmed it will need 4 injectors and a fuel pump and another new filter also blow out all injector pipes and the spherical...
i have just got mine i weigh'd the standard 172 it was 6.3 kgs tried to remove as much on a lath and milled some out but best before it got balanced was 4.1kgs bought a billet one from prima racing it is 2.9kgs can't wait to get it built now and mapped see how buzzy it is with revised cwp...
yea he had a few in different states of stripping sold parts just re-read the thread lloyd is on here too read the thread and just found out i may need to change the cwp in the box as he had problems with gearing so i will to! it will have to wait till next year as i have got it all fitted in...

i had it on a mates 182 after changing tyres (same as what was on but new) steering wheel was of to left tracking was spot on so we adjusted it to get it straight when he had the next set on it was off to the right by the same mount! strange but true???

problem is i have removed all airbag stuff inc the ecu so i need to either fool the uch or the dash sa the dash is not an interogatable unit with clip the abs was a doddle air bag not so?
If the engine cranls over with a good spark then forget the tdc for now can you hear the fuel pump buz? smell the exhaust when cranking can you smell petrol???? could be flooded ?? try cranking with full throttle ?
