There's definitely value in that sort of thing. Ford make/made their heritage vehicles available to dealers for events and, like you, an interesting older car would definitely pull me into a showroom. Their cars are also used for TV productions and the like. A heritage fleet doesn't have to be...
Heritage fleets are strange things. I used to work with Ford and dealt with the guys running the heritage fleet quite regularly. How well funded it is, and how high a priority it is was basically the whim of the senior management. If you had a big boss who was interested, then they were looked...
It's sad how some manufacturers are throwing away strong brands so casually. Renault Sport was a way stronger brand than Alpine, so it was a strange move in my opinion.
The hard drive in my laptop seems to have cried enough and, as it's old and pretty crap anyway, I think it's probably time to buy something new.
I've started to do a bit of video stuff recently, so I want something that can cope with video editing, and some Photoshop too, as I'd like to get...
Yeah it's amazing how some content/people just catch the right moment.
I posted a video about the GR Yaris and it got orders of magnitude more views than anything I've posted before, just because I posted it when a lot of the reviews were coming out.
Yeah there's definitely a bit of that, and you do see a few cars wrapped in horrendous coloured-chrome vinyl  There are some guys doing some really nice stuff too though. It just needs some tracks building really. If that happened, I think the car scene would grow massively.
Depends where you are a bit. UAE has a circuit and Dubai and obviously Yas Marina, so you can do track days there. Has a few championships for various things too.
Saudi is a bit shite currently, as F1 and Formula-E both use street tracks, so there is nothing permanent, but there is one being...
Moving to Saudi has made me want to do it more weirdly. There's a decent JDM tuning scene here, so I've been watching to much YouTube content about Japanese cars.
The mud flap rule is beyond idiotic. No idea why FWD cars need those stupid things hanging off the back wheels, total waste of time, especially on tarmac.
It's about 40p a litre, so obviously massively cheaper than the UK, but it's pretty expensive by local standards I'm told. Apparently it's gone up quite a lot in the last few years.
I haven't been to Malta, so I don't really have any experience, but it makes sense I guess, as there would have...
I will try to create something. Thought people might find it interesting to see what life is like here, as well as the car scene. It will be more interesting when I actually get round to buying a car though no doubt.
Yeah I think it got reasonable reviews. People seem to rate them quite highly...
Went to a drift meet last night too. Wasn't the busiest, as apparently a few of the "big" cars were in Riyadh for the Autoville event.
Another Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I'm quite tempted to get one of these to be honest, as they are probably about the best value RWD car that you can get with a...
Few more....
Nissan Cedric (one for weird JDM fans):
Yet another old Merc:
Charger R/T:
These are quite funny. Chevrolet Caprice but, if you look closely, you'll see it's actually just an Omega with some slightly different panels. Most of them are beaten to hell like this one as well:
Few more spots when I was out walking around the neighbourhood over the weekend.
Ford Crown Victoria with BMW M stripes 😂
Modified Mustang:
M5 Comp - looks epic in red I think:
Err?
Pimped Panamera:
CL600:
Quite like these. We didn't get them in Europe. Hyundai Genesis...
Yeah they were definitely function over form. It's a pretty mixed scene here. A lot of people are into American stuff, so it's mainly Chargers and Mustangs, but there's quite a big JDM scene too. A lot are pretty rough around the edges, but I guess that's a theme with drift cars everywhere...
