The cheap cone filter is probably causing "heat-soak" and actually costing you power, personally, get a standard airbox and run it to factory specification as Renault intended it.
Just enjoy it for what it is, as you said moneys tight, normally asspirated engine's arent cheap to realise gains...

Runflats are utter toss, it is recommended that they are not repaired due to the rigidity of the sidewalls (IIRC) they are hard to keep heat in them, they simply do not merit the cost's which are incurred in replacement.

4k for a CTR is going to be high mileage and possibly catagorey registered, 4k on a Clio Renault Sport is going to have half the mileage and be a later registered one!

The performance between the 172/172 Cup , 182/182 Cup are very marginal, in a straight line/through corners there really isnt anything...
I done this to my first Clio aswell it was a dynamique IIRC back in 2003, looked awesome, no end of difference it made

Not to side track, but personally speaking, trying to make a normally asspirated car faster is pointless.
Dont upset the balance, if you want a fast car, buy a fast car etc and so on ;)
