Right. Been asked to bump this thread! Myself, G4Z and Gally are collecting this car on friday and this issue kinda needs to be resolved prior to us arriving! Has anyone got any ideas? Fuel pump is working fine, engine is turning over strongly but wont fire :S G4Z plans to take a spare TDC...

The difference between unleaded and v-power is 7p at anyone time. So a full tank between the two will be the difference of like £4, i dont know why everyone doesnt just use premium unleaded fuels:o

Think there all the same, my 8 year old Phase 1 is rough from cold also. What fuel are you running it on? I find V power makes mine run a little smoother

Dont discount the fact its a 1998cc Petrol unit, anything upward of 30mpg is good

I wouldn't want to be able to do 140+ in a Clio. A blow-out at anything above 100 would result in a messy end I would think. I'd rather quicker acceleration than top-end speed imo
