    Clio 172 cup cam cover gasket part.

    The cover holds the cams in, the cams are under tension from the belt, the pulleys need to come off to remove the cover etc etc.

    If the noise disappears as the revs go past ~1700rpm, then its probably the dephaser that has gone. This is the pulley on the inlet cam. When they wear, they start to rattle. Its a new pulley and cambelt job, so around £600 at a specialist
