My brother has an ST and as said above whilst a very capable car the 172 is faster, hes just had a full milltek system and viper induc.
Also it is a better built car!
Type R's are common for one reason and that is reliability, there damn solid cars and itll run off the clock and back again befre itll break!
I always think a cars reliability can be decided on the "clunk" the door shut makes, a honda just feels good!
A chap in a shirt and tie, turned right into the new houses at leverndale.
Think he would have had a little play if it werent for the Saab in front lol:evil:
As above mate, buy a phase 1 172.
Just got mine with 46,000 on the clock for £3,800.
Its reliable-ish ive only had to fix the neglect that it had from the woman owner (for the last 7 years) but other than that shes sweet as a nut, the best thing about it is that your forever catching BMW an...
See to be honest, if i were you id buy a pre-owned model. I know women like it all shiny and new out the wrapper, thats all fine and dandy. Buy it off someone who has had the fun of listening to some salesman tosser who knows f**k all about cars and even less about when itll arrive, thus meaning...
The type R will lose money but it wont lose as much as that of a 172.
If you look at a 2002/3 172, and a 2002/3 Type R the price diffrence will almost be £2000 or more obviously dependant on mileage and condition but there generally dearer and hold there value paticullarly well, its just the...
Hi guys right i have a Phase one 172.

I can honestly say the only time i ever had to really slam the whole lot on was in my C2 GT when a most courtious woman driver pulled out from the hard shoulder to the fast lane doing less than 40mph...
I f**king shat it slammed the whole lot on, irritatingly enough that activated the hazards...
I dont see what the issue is here there french cars they dont hold there value all that well anyway id never buy a new car regardless what it is because its gonna depreciate like f**k before its even kicked a ball
Im not sure where one would aquire such a thing, i would have thought amazon would have manuals and what have you. I would have thought that there wouldnt be a specific haynes manual but it would just give you the 1998cc variant within it under "petrol"
Im actualy looking for one myself truth...
As someone stated above mate i reckon that anyone that has just bought any 172 be it a phase one, FF, or Cup lets face it your not buying it to make money on it.
I just bought mine for £3800 last month, new 7 years ago they were close to £15,000. If depreciation is a worry then i wouldnt...
haha, ofcourse your car will need done now as its nearly 5 years old (doesnt look it right enough!!!)
I just got my cambelt and tensioners done from a mechanic (im not that clever when it comes to the nitty gritty but i do try) And he described it as nothing short of a nightmare, although i was...
