Maybe he's used the Meg timing tools and not the Clio ones - just a thought .
I'd be getting the Cam timing checked before you go any further .
Tba - Id be asking why the garage didn't have the cam cover off to check the cams and followers ect . I'm only assuming that they haven't had the...
I have a locking nut on my studs - you'll need to cut the length of the stud down as its a covered nut as such .
Yes Honda do have them as standard -BUT it is the wrong shank angle , Renault is 60degree shank - that Honda one is Rounded
I have 438's in mine atm , soon to be coupled with the Rs2 just sorting a minor issue needed to fit it to my Ph1 .
I spoke with mike also and he mentioned tweaks to my cam timing for these to produce good power gains .
He mentioned GroupN timing maybe , but not 100% sure it's that set-up.
Can you select all gears ?
Reverse ?
All forward gears ?
Only once you can , would I tighten up the casing .
With regards to 5th gear , you'll see the selector rod move downwards - hence selecting 5th imaginary as it's not been fitted .

Welcome to the forum @EvoPL . Looks nice .
Are those 17" wheels ?
What does it ride like ?
Roads in the UK are terrible , full of pot holes lol , so wheels that size would buckle very easily here .
Enjoy the forum [emoji106]
Changed the brake fluid / flushed it through , and cleaned the Rust ridge on the inside of the front discs as it's not driven enough. Also put the leather wheel on - feels good.

You've done well so far [emoji106]
If the box is built up to where it is - I'm afraid to say that , that piece in your hand goes in between the two shafts .
You'll need to pull em out again if that bit is not there .
Get it checked properly , instead of guessing , I say this as you could potentially throw money at it when it could be spent else where on the correct part that needs changing .
If something else is worn it'll show up straight away to a keen eye in the know .
The CTS your looking for is the white coloured one on the thermostat housing . Yes @MicKPM your right the brown one is for the gauge and the twin one is for the ECU.
