Yeah, that's a different box to what we have. We don't have you view. I might give them a shout and see if I can get a new home hub and new box sent out.

    BT TV

I've got it and only have usual broadband, so fibre isn't a must imo, although it is if you want HD. The box is alright, can be a bit buggy but it's pretty simple to use. I'm not sure about recording from a week ago though, unless that's a new feature in a new box? Or maybe a fibre option? Can...

What happens if you are carrying around a tripod when you visit? Do you have to leave it somewhere? I spent a couple of days in Cambridge. The wife was on a course so jumped in the car with her. Free hotel and some time in a new city. Saves sitting at home on my own. Only gone through a few...

    Photography Chat and Questions Thread

Well I made a voting thread but it didn't get featured for a couple of days and overlapped the time to vote. You won one and Piers won the other iirc. I didn't know who was sorting the new ones out, it had been Fatty for a while, I thought he would make a new thread with the winners etc and sort...

Samsung S5 software update to lollipop.

Can you do it via the computer? Keis maybe? Although I remember that being utter turd (as with any Samsung software) Other than that, I'm not sure. Backup and reset then update? The s**t way to do it though.

    Does PS4/XBO have these features?

Your smart TV will probably do the USB playback too so it would depend on what games you wanted to buy imo. The ps4 is supposed to be getting 4od (I just use my ps3 for that If I need to)

    The New Phone Thread

I'd have a look at the Z3/Z3 compact over any Samsung tbh. Not as much bloatware either and it's a good 6 months newer iirc.

    The Alarm - Gathering 2015

Went to a gig last night to watch "The Alarm". A local band who have a fairly big following. Got free weekend tickets for helping put some speakers out in the morning. Took my 6d with 50mm 1.8, 17-35 2.8-3.5 (didn't use much) and the 24-104 f4. Taken off my Facebook page. Quality somewhat...

Brand New Dell laptop and connection issues to BT homehub

I sometimes have connectivity issues with my Dell vostro and home hub 3. Im guessing it's a HH issue though as I had similar problems with my old Acer laptop. The PS4, Phone, tablet etc all stay connected with no issues though.

Love them Jay. Never knew about that place, I'll definitely be going there next time I visit London. A shot from the other night, well, two shots chucked together in photoshop. Lightened and the white balance adjusted. Smoke and sparks by A_Cro, on Flickr

Nexus 7 boot loop after upgrade

Mine went a bit mental after the latest update but then sorted itself out. I left it on charge after I managed to turn it off and went beck to it a day later and it was alright. Might be worth trying that?

Composition? Have a look at the rule of thirds. That's a starting point there. Have a read of this. Some good pointers. http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2012/04/12/10-rules-of-photo-composition-and-why-they-work/

Home cinema systems (projectors and screens)

I'm not sure on getting a full set up for that price. I'm currently looking for a projector for my camera club and will be spending about £500 to get a half decent one. Someone came in with an Epson one which they paid around £350 for and it wasn't great but that could be to do with her setting...

Stick to f4 and higher ISO and you'll get loads more stars. Even on 30 second exposures. Last minute trip to the beach this evening for some light painting and then the skies started to clear revealing the Milky way. Unfortunately its not the best time of year to view it with the faintest part...

    Whatsapp Web - Finally!

I'm trying to get people that I know to use Telegram. Can send bigger files over, don't have to pay each year and it's generally a better app. Can get it on the computer and tablet and it all syncs instantly.

Wifi transfer to the canon app  Plus Lightroom mobile. Handy if you want to show something before you get to a laptop. Exports them as a very small file size tho but good enough for showing quickly.

    Anyone willing to help?

www.facebook.com/ACrowephotography I need to start pushing it more this year. Going to meet some friends in a bit as me and the wife have been asked to do their wedding in December. Should be fun!

Nice. I was going to go out but I feel like s**t. Mate text me saying it was really clear and there's bugger all wind tonight, plus the late moonrise. Oh well. Next time.

Liked. I set up a page last year but haven't really tried to push it. I've managed to sell a few shots and I've got a few mounted prints in a gallery. Need to try and push it more this year though.

    The New Phone Thread

So you are going from the z3 to the iPhone 6 now? I have the 6 for work and it's alright but not a patch on the Sony IMO. But if you've always had an iPhone until the z3 you'll probably love it. My Mrs got the z3 compact and the 6 (work) around the same time and she hates using the 6

Went out last night for a few hours looking for some decent milky way shots. One thing I didn't consider was the gale force winds! That out an abrupt end to one spot so ended up at this bridge. Good camera setup and tips for Iceland and northern lights

I opted for the newest 190 ProB today. The 4 piece leg setup so it's a bit shorter when folded down. Went for the midi head too and I'll swap with Laura if and when I need to. Paid £100 and a couple of old zooms that were gathering dust. A lot sturdier that my current one but I'll be keeping...
