Had planned this visit for a while and usually, when I plan to go somewhere, the weather decides to dick around. This time though we were pretty lucky. No rain but pretty cold, strong winds.
I'd seen a shot that I wanted to try but the building that I wanted to shoot was full of scaffolding...
Don't bother the 50mm. It's too long and trying to get infinity focus with it is pretty tricky.
I've has some results at 1600 iso. F3.5 and 30 seconds. The noise does come in though quite noticeably after 3200.
Have a look at some apps as they will point you in the right direction for...
Went over to Blackpool yesterday. Didn't take my tripod with me as I wasn't going to do much photography.
Taken off Facebook as my Flickr is playing up, hence the drop in IQ.
I've got more to go up on Flickr which I'll try to get up tonight.
I would have tried a birds eye view personally, maybe slightly angled towards the hole.
Would have also put it on a wooden bread board with maybe a cake knife to the side and not had a plate.
Or maybe a cake stand and somehow made the smarties fall on to the board (like a waterfall) somehow...
I still can't even download the beta at the moment.
Tried last night and was greeted with a system update, which afterwards, wouldn't let me sign in for a good hour, and when I did eventually get on, the PSN store kept crashing.
Tried again this morning, got on the store, found the beta...
I replied a long post. My phone wouldn't post it so in short,..
Try what TEG said. If you have trouble with that, then maybe invest in a 50mm prime and crop it. If you don't like that, then try a Sigma 105mm macro. Very good lens.
Probably OTT for your needs though.
Oh and as for the link...
Wow. That must have been really hard for you to do but you managed to do it brilliantly.
Brilliant pictures which look like they capture the day very well. The write up accompanied it very good too.
Should be very proud of yourself for what you achieved on what I can only imagine was a...
Captain_Crowe on the ps3.
Already joined SWET
Can't wait to get on this. Hopefully they will have prepared the servers for the amount of people who will be trying to access it today.
Re: PS4 pre-order
I'll have to look in to that.
Game said that I should be able to swap a game if I wanted to when I pick it up so I'll see what else is out.
Re: PS4 pre-order
I had an email from Game saying i will definitely be getting mine before Xmas and I only pre ordered it a couple of weeks ago.
I'm hoping the bundles will change though as I'm not too sure I want Drive Club (I had it in my head that it was The Crew when pre ordering)...
I got my 550 simply because it had a video feature. I've used it once or twice and not even properly in the 18 months I've had it. I should have gone for a XXD body instead.
I do however, know an awful lot of people who shoot videos on DSLR's due to the lens choice and great IQ. 5D Mk3 is the...
Back out tonight with the old wire wool. I've got a bit rusty with my orbs, need a bit more practice!

From what I understand, its best to leave all of the Lester missions until after the story.
I read that after I done the second assassination though but did manage to put money on the correct stocks after a quick hit of the replay button.
I paid a quid for one and it works fine. Its a bit on the short side and will have to be replaced when I re decorate the living room so I will check that link for some longer ones.
I can't believe Monster get away with charging so much!
Fired a few shots last night while on way back to shore.
Light looked really nice but couldn't quite pick it up though but I quite like these two. Not sure if I prefer the B&W one though.

4.9 inch screen apparently. Not much bigger the 4 my mate said? Going to be very fast though according to some reports. Will be nice to see what features KitKat has too.
I've got the Samsung Nexus and the size is good. Id rather it be a bit bigger than as small as an iphone.
Finally got it working properly.
Found this by the military base (where you go for one of the missions)
I just decided to take one of the three that were just parked up near Franklyn's new house
