Yeah, up from happy valley (turn left when on the orme) looking down on the pier or just off the road would get a nice shot at sunrise. Bit too early at this time of year for me though.
Should have drove around the orme for the sunset. Lovely from there, especially if you go to the summit car park.
Really nice shots though. The pier one is probably my favourite.
Just a quick heads up for anyone who might want to photograph the space station.
There are two passes tonight. The first one is at 22.13. The second one at 23.49.
I should be going to get the first one, skies look like they are going to clear up.
App for Android. Should be on iOS too...
The 450 is good. Should pick up a kit lens cheap too.
There are some offers about on the 1100 at the moment too. Think Currys are doing it for £270 with a free tripod too.
Congratulations Niall.
Maybe I should have picked an easier theme, might have had a few more entries.
Shame only a few voted though, especially with the number of views...
I forgot that you had gone FF. The 50 should be fine then. Might struggle with a few wide things but should be really good for a walk around lens.
Another one from the Llandudno trip. Looks better in the square crop I think.

Cheers :)
Yeah your 50mm should be ok for a few shots. It weighs nothing anyway so I'd pack it if I were you. I nearly used mine when I was walking along the promenade and Conwy Quayside but i kept with the 10-20 or the 55-250 for the bird shots.
Where about are you staying? Hopefully the...
Took a drive around yesterday and a bit of a walk.
Had a few places in mind that I wanted to shoot with the Ten stop. Here's a few of them.
Didn't have to travel far. This is on my door step.

A drive to Llandudno.

Looks like the moto - X won't be the new Nexus ad it's only available in the USA apparently.
I've not watched the reveal yet as I was in bed early for work today but my mate watched and said it won't be available anywhere else.
Yeah I know they are releasing the MotoX. Not sure if that will be a nexus device though.
Thought there would have been more talk of it though if it is launching in a few hours in America?
Very much doubt that. Nothing has been confirmed by anyone and Google are looking at Asus (I think) due to their great reviews and feedback of the Nexus 7.
I've got until January until my contract is up. If there is no new Nexus I might give the HTC One a try as that's supposed to be brilliant.
This got 74 yesterday - 227 so far today (all from Flickr) and 470 All time. Strange as I only put it up yesterday! Numbers don't add up!

I got the update for my Samsung Nexus a few nights ago.
Only major thing I have noticed is the camera settings.
I imagine the new Nexus will be out around September/October? That's the usual time for them isn't it?
Not sure who is making it though but I it will probably be what I go for when...
That was the only reason I suggested it too. The Mrs has one and she seems pretty happy with hers but she might only pick up the camera 10 times a year.
I would suggest the 55-250 but the short end of it is pretty long, especially on a crop.
Once you get in to photography, I'd then go for a...
Yeah. Get used to the camera first and then think of what you want to take pictures of as that will influence the lens decision.
Did you get it from Curry's? They are throwing a tripod in at the moment for 270 I think. A few lads from work have just bought them.
Edit. Reread OP.
The...
Sounds similar to when I done mine.
Ferrari was f**ked. Lambo was nearly f**ked. Aston was mint.
High speed lap in an EVO was good fun too.
Looks like it was the same company that I went with last year.
Two more timelapses today. Put together in the Go Pro software and set it to 10 FPS. Not sure why but I keep getting a green bar along the bottom of the screen. Must be some setting that I am not seeing.
Shot with the Canon 550 and a 50mm 1.8 (shot at F4 I think) in JPEG on a homemade motorised...
We ended up going with a Panasonic. After reading a lot of reviews, we decided on that due to the battery life being much better than what was in the price range.
Does time lapse too which I will use a fair bit and full hd unlike some of the others.
