Check the battery is in good condition. Sounds like its on its way out. Failing that check the Coilpack as this is a common problem that it starts to degrade and fails.

Well that was heathers old clio. She now has a new clio. She is on ClubClio yes. I know who she is aswell. Really lost that car on the roundabout though, didnt realise it was that bad. The new clio is exactly the same, well its black, different reg but same style. So tis not a "he" its now a she.
