Steven, the marks I presume are cloudy/white wax and polish marks, yes?
If so, you need to remove these before following the man aboves advice and protecting/dressing the plastics.
The best option I have found (through testing numerous myths etc) is WD40 and a lot of elbow grease with a MF...
Scratch X is funny stuff - some swear by it for big scratches. I guess personally I would rather machine polish as I know I am correcting it, rather than hoping.
Get some pictures up and we'll come back to the topic.
I bought some purely for comical value!
It says it's a wax and polish in one . . .which isn't physically a good idea, you do one or the other. Personally I would stick with Poorboys Wheel Seal, as it's one of the best I've tested.
Not a problem chap.
Yeah you can clean pretty much everything with E&MC, it's a great product and always in stock in my cupboard! You can clean up hubs, arches, wheels, calipers etc with it.
Re the wheels, clean them properly, clay them, wash, polish, seal, done. Then you can wash with soapy...
For what you are looking for, I would suggest looking over on Detailing World. They will have a decent idea of locals.
There has been talk of a trip down from myself and a few other detailers, as there does seem to be a massive demand in the South, with very few detailers making the most of the...
Good god.
Lol.
OK, I'll edit this as I go.
Blade - get rid. End of. Use a decent MF cloth. Have a search on I4Detailing for a decent purchase.
Wheels - stay clear of Cleans Wheels - it's acidic and will affect your lacquer on the wheels (i.e. dull it). That's why you have heard people use...
Ha, smart arse ;)
Yeah as Markie has said, do it properly once a year, then either fill or minor correct when you feel it needs it. Or major correct it 75 times a year if you have VAG/BMW paint ;)
As above re the colour. I don't understand why people put so much work in and then basically ruin it (in my eyes) with such a sheet colour!
That aside, love it!
How long is a piece of string?
No, but on a serious note, purely depends on your paint depth - hence the use of PDGauges.
I use to cut my paint back at the start of Summer, ready for show season with something like Menz IP, then keep on top of them with Lime Prime during the year.
I personally don't like anything that allows for a "quick wash" - this term to me instantly means marring. I would therefore rather not wash for a few weeks. To be fair, my car is not moving now anyway as I can walk to work in minutes and my other half has moved to London, so I train it down at...
I guess there is no point in talking about a proper prep of the wheels, so would say either AG Engine and Machine Cleaner or the Bilberry, dependant on budget.
Trim, AG Vinyl and Rubber, tyres, Megs Endurance/Hot Shine/Blackfire Wheel Shine.
Right, so the bore is wrong.
Take it to a shop and get them machined, or sell them and buy the correct size. I'm tempted to ask why you bought them if they're wrong, but I will resist.
