Been in the detailing sector for a while chap, thanks :) Collinites 476 is a wax. Very hard wearing and good for wheels/winter protection. However, I don't rate it as a paint work wax as I have found it tends to dull the finish slightly.

Polish with super resin polish, then seal with something like Poor Boy's wheel sealent. However, there are many other products with new ones popping up all the time. Personally, SRP/Megs ScratchX2 to cut back, seal with Poorboys, then wax with something like Collinites 476 or something else...

I honestly still have a couple of the spot pads from when I first started detailing back in 04. Used them a good few times (not everytime, obviously!) and the finishing blue pads are still going strong!

Causes wheels to loose their shine, however careful you are. Get them refurbed, then seal and wax them then just keep it topped up. As kev said, they will wash easily with just warm soapy water. Guarantee you will. The reason car rental garages use it is because they deal with caked on...
