Just read through all that in my dinner. Started off on a proper high, I've always had a soft spot for S2's despite my old man constantly telling me they're sh*t.
And it just got worse and worse.
Gutted.
What now?
I'm looking (with Len_beach) at doing Blyton Park in June. We need a good 4 weeks after Elvington to save up...
I'm on holiday for half of June anyway, but the following dates are what I could find:
Monday 4th June : Open Pit Lane : £129
Saturday 16th June : Open Pit Lane : £99
The Monday is a...
I know, I heard ya first time and was genuinely going to do as you suggested. Just ran out of time before its first event. But it'll be back for the next outing.
Will do a write up in a bit - plenty of things happened including a Porsche that spun and hit a fence on its first lap :S - how can...
No probs boss. A couple turned up at dinner and we had a mate come along to assist (even my old man turned up).
No need for jealousy my old fruit. I hear you're hunting for another RB. Now that is enviable - RB > BG.
Found this on a search....
ClioSport.Net: change of box. now engine wont spark? (by shepperdspie)

Clio 2's go crazy when the battery has gone flat. The ECU seems to loose the imob code. The imob light stays solid and the starter cranks...
Coils, idle and tdc replacement. Can all be had for £30 - £40 on here maximum.
Gotta be one of those. If it doesn't start today, will bring mine over and we can test some sensors?
I'm delighted to announce that the little saxo was on form. To, on and from the track it was flawless. It is also suprisingly easy to drive and very planted. The non-performance brakes could only cope with 7 or 8 lap stints at full tilt, but nothing much more to complain about.
A quick pic...
Lolz. Yes still got it, but I'll be in the track car. A two tone grey saxo Vts. Len will be in my old silver clio from the Whitby meet - albeit without turini's.
I'll keep my eye out.
The car is now ready - after this update :)
I've been working a bit on it each night after work.
First up where new NON-performance discs and pads on the front. Matt complained the pedal was hard and he was right, although this appears to be a standard trait of the saxo's, I saw that the discs...
Not sure chief. Len booked it and has informed me to be there at 9 for the briefing :S
Would have thought it would be 12, but you could turn up anytime?
I know bud, I was just going to leave the pipe exposed. Those breathers are a load of sh*t really, but for £3.99.....
Matt has just text after finding the locking key - socket saved. Yaye.
Forgot to add...
- Checked coolant level. I had topped it up and after a bit of running around today it has remained at the same point. Win.
- Checked zorst. Thought it was knocking, but it isn't. Seems to be hung pretty well, rubbers have not perished. Win.
- Removed spare wheel. Totally...
Lolz at the comments on here - especially Marvv trying to blame the wire wool on his ex.
Minor update to the budget track saxo today.
Bad Stuff:
No locking key for the wheels - hopefully Mr Matthew will come through on that one to save me wasting a socket.
The VT bodykit is a complete joke and...
New clips ordered right at the start chief - should be here today :)
I see what you are saying about suspension - but do remember that a) the car has not turned a wheel on track yet and b) the budget.
I have no idea how it handles in its current form, so the first outing will be proving...
Cheers for the comments.
Stocked up on a few bits locally today whilst waiting for eBay purchases to arrive.
Spent £80 on new front discs and pads (mintex), brake fluid, engine oil, oil filter. Before anyone states quiche Lorraine or brimbo brakes, donny style prevents me from buying anything...
