    OE04UYN - RB FF 182 (ex The Boosh's Motor)

Nothing new to report at the mo, still cranking the daily duties. Just down in Welwyn Garden City for work and clocked 192 mark and still returned 44mpg on the trip computer (real world calculated is about 6 lower ish) On the fence at the mo, the rear arch needs work but is it worth it........

Mark 1 Track Car - Trophy Red 172 Project

21-02-2019 Boot badge refurb Refurbished the badges on my boot strip, over time they turn white and eventually wear away the lettering completely. 15 quid sticker kit from Ebay and good as new. The kit itself is superb, fitment perfect, finish perfect and hopefully longevity will match, time...

DAB aerial and phone mic placement?

My alpine is w**k for normal aerial tbh, parrot in it works great though and I've stuck mic up drivers a pillar too although going to move it go centre roof area by map/interior light as every time I put visor to side I knock the thing off, lol

    Nismo juke RS winter detail

Hideous things, but deftly wiped with a rag sir, well played. Interior looks so dated too, and it's one year old, crazy

    Stiff door handle

check the hinges, open door fully and then lift it up and down from the furthest point and look for play also check the catch adjustment, you should be able loosen the latch on the door shut side on the chassis itself and drop it slightly to account for any hinge wear/play on the door itself...

    Cals Boring Iceberg 172

nice project this, and so nice to see a clean and pretty much stock 172. Iceberg suits them so much more in phase 2 than phase 1 imo as well.

    Rear caliper carrier not aligning

that piston is not fully wound in imo, should sit almost flush to body of the caliper

    Why members don’t attend meets?

Used to go on loads back in the mid 2000's with the mk1 lot, always a spin out somewhere. these days we all still 'hang out' but tend to go on trackdays instead

    RSTuner and Remap Dynomometer graphs

I can't recommend a proper map enough, the RSTuner is just the hardware used to flash the map on and off the ECU, that's used by most tuners who map a car on stock ecu. The off the shelf maps that come from Henk at Fastchips are what are usually bundled with the RSTuner module sold to public. A...

    1.2 8v Phase 1 - speedometer not working?!

I would hazard a guess its same in your car, just a sensor in the back of the box. just follow the guide to replace for a 172/182 and see if its there

04-02-2019 Cam timing and remap Took a trip over the pennines today to visit @bloke to get the 197 cams timed in then straight over to see Chris at EFi for the whole setup to be mapped. Cold and foggy trip in a car with no..... well no anything really. But the result was a surprise to say the...

    Oil usage normal amount

As above, comp test it and if that's okay just keep topping up. Mines just starting to use half a litre or so between oil/filter services now which I do every 6k. 192k on original engine though so think it's entitled to drink a little now!lol!

    Who’s the oldest

All the 'yoofs' are now on the Facebook groups, .net is now the old folks home. I joined 2005 I think at 22, nearly 36 now and still got the clio virus. But it appears despite my many long years of service here I am but a whipper snapper

Fog light symbol on dash when pushing brake pedal

last time mine did this it was the earth pin on the connector block on the wiring loom for the drivers side rear cluster. It bends out over the years of lights being removed and refitted and makes poor contact with the actual light cluster bulb holder assembly. Quick bend back with a small flat...
