Are 172, phase 1 and 2 and 182 injectors all essentially the same? i.e. can all be interchanged without issue? And if so can they be totally mismatched or must be kept in complete sets of same type?
Cheers
Ben
ah fair enough chap, its just all food for thought is all, if I ever decide to go for more boost I need a decent box and I had VAG as the way forward, just need to ensure I get the right one by sounds of it and I should be laughing!
poor wee thing!
I know theres more traction etc i'm just a tad surprised is all, it wasn't an off the line job so its simple torque application that's done it, already rolling in gear, thought it'd take way more than that
the reason i'm interested is obviously a common thing now is to fit...
Yesterday my car broke, so i swore alot and got grumpy and basically stropped about
finally figured it was injector down, swapped one out of the old 172 into the car and..... sorted!
i was intending on taking the car out for a few photos after a clean but spent most of the day sorting that...
Fair play Ellen, i was just intrigued about the methods was all, is there no way a scuttle type induction will fit on the mk 2's? tbh i've not really though about it on the one i have but most of the mk1 boys use the scuttle to get clean cold air into the lump and keep the outside looking o/e :)
as above, i just swapped them about and looked for the fault jumping to the pot with the suspect injector, which it did, so swapped it out for a good one
dont understand why you are struggling so much on inlet temps, its not a highly tuned car??? and how do you know its that? is there an inlet temp sensor plumbed up?
my reasoning being that a fibreglass bonnet with a vent in it would need to be done very tastefully to not basically ruin the car...
Right, thought i had sorted my issue but it ran fine for about 60 miles and its died again
symptoms are it runs like a bag of spanners on idle, if you hold throttle at lowish revs it hunts a bit and feels hesitant but floor it and it seems to pull well and smoothly?
so far i have (all to no...
Gray - i know, i feel a fool for not thinking of it sooner, it ran fine after the cleaning operation but few days later it was like this, probably due to being left for a bit, ah well, alls well that ends well and least i found out about spark plugs and feel better for knowing i've checked...
Re: Best clio sport blue opinions
to sell on, keep it o/e and respray it monaco
for your own use, alien green could look trick or LY as a favourite
best blue is obviously Racing, but a 172 is not worth of it ;) rofl!
cheers Craig
ai the plates will be being replaced with clean and simple pressed jobs like i run on the mk1, much cleaner, just not got round to sorting them yet as toying with getting a personal plate for it so that can wait :-)
its currently rolling on the black superlegs but i do have white...
as above, sometimes you can get them out if theres enough of a gap, but for the sake of 10 mins removing the wheel, its not worth breaking the cap or damaging the wheel risking it imo
