I gave mine a coat, then left them about an hour and a half before doing the send coat, once i'd done that I left them over night before re fitting the wheels to the car.
I too used Hammerite smooth.
The last one I saw on ebay was from a trophy & it was in need of repair, they don't come up that much.
If any one knows of a mk2 vee spoiler in Illiad Blue (with the struts) give me a shout;)
You should have come to our meet there the other week Deb.
We went over the the Renault stand & true fashion they didn't seem to have a clue about the cars they were trying to sell.
^
Jays car has the engine & the wide track on it too, the engine isn't exactly standard either. It's a mint car
Midge's looks a proper track sl*g :)
Trust me mate, if it's the one i'm thinking of - you don't want to see the interior, the one I saw with full leather had cream leather, even the steering wheel was cream. It looked awful to say the least:dapprove:
The exhaust is the standard one, when it's naffed i'll go after market, then i'll show it off:cool:
For now though I might just see what diy shops sell to cover the boxes.
I'm going to get some mesh soon to cover the exhaust boxes as I know they let it down. Just need to find a place with some decent mesh. I was thinking of geniune renault stuff, but it's hard to get hold of & expensive.
Sarah - you need to change the wires round, fubars guide on here is great:)
Chris, the aeriel was one of the first things I changed on it, £9.99 from halfrauds, job done (it's about half the size of the original one)
I've been slacking on that front. I have some, but I didn't take them.
I've painted & branded the front calipers since these pics, they're now black with yellow ap racing decals, i've yet to do the rear ones (they're just going to be black)
I will take some more of it soon, it's just...
Thers one round my way identical to that - it's yellow & black though.
I'll try & get a pic next time I see it. It's from Rainham, Essex (which sums it up lol)
A dude on here the other day was asking if a mk3 wheel (I think from a 197) would fit his mk2 vee - the answer was no as the splines are different.
Here
A valver is a mk1 clio, from J reg to N reg (there are a couple on H reg & I believe a few very late registered P reg ones - but i've never seen one)
They have a 1.8 16v engine & put out 137bhp when new. They do 60 in about 7.7 secs, top end is about 130 (or so)
The williams (or willy as it's...
I think that Big Iain on here had one, it was flame red too, but no shorter struts with it.
Drop him a PM & see if he still has it.
Good luck finding one, if you do, you'll be looking at about £200 or so (second hand for it) Unless a scrappy gets a smashed mk2 vee or trophy in.
