I'm guessing you have done the obvious hpi check, no harm going and viewing it and going through all the paper work making sure it matches up and then a thorough going over, checking for accident damage/different paint shades the usual stuff and test everything on the test drive.

lose that tacky engine cover and it would look nice, why not carry on the carbon fibre look for the engine cover would go better with the car

If you have to keep any id say the front bumper is about it, the down n out sticker made me laugh when its stance is that of a giraffe. wheels looks really good, id remove the stickers, lower it some and car will look soo nice!

i would personally change the gear knob altogether for a ph1 172 or richbrook makes a hell of a difference.
