It remains 'in vtec' through all gears so long as you shift up at over 8krpm. I'm shortshifting and staying in high gears to alleviate wheel spin in some areas though. Otherwise, I'd stay 'on cam'.
What started off as snow/ice broke into cold/dry in the afternoon, it was a good day. I went up with a few mates, in their 530, Cayman, and EP3.
There was a new Clio Cup car there, seemed decent - the gearbox sounded rapid!
I hadn't done Paddock before, what a corner that is. I was wary that the...
Yeah I don't do anything myself anymore, rather just have it done properly. Actually don't know the state of my wheel arches, haven't had my own wheels off yet. 😂
@Philip. Yeah it is, it was done when it came in in 2011. I'm not sure on the longevity, or whether it needs renewing. Currently have no rust issues, even behind the bumper! :)
Standard engine mounts, whether they're Renault, Pattern, or whatever; are all s**t. Some of the worst I've ever experienced.
Vibratechnics/KTEC are the only way to go.

It was a smashing day, even though the track was greasy as fook, and my rear tyres were freezing cold at all times.
I didn't do any filming in the morning, it was like driving on ice. 😂
@Philip. when you coming south for a trackday?

B14 is by far and away the best suspension I've experienced for a road-going Clio.
More compliant and far more comfortable than standard or eibach shocks/springs. And the grip levels were incredible, so much confidence as it felt like the car was planted on the road, rather than perched on top...
So, the biggest giveaway on the whole car for it's 12 years and 90,000 miles was the steering wheel.
So I fixed that.
Looks really really good in person, tidied up the interior muchly.
Just waiting on my RAYS now. :smilingimp:
