Received mine today , fcuk me is it bright , even in daylight . Pocket sized , 8 led , will definitely come in handy when working under the car . Thanks for the headsup Gally ;)
I think there is a point in getting it checked . I thought mine was ok until i had it checked and replaced . Now i realise it wasn't operating as it should . There are 2 letters sent out . One saying they'll check it and if they find a fault they'll replace it at cost to the owner and the other...
Ask yourself this . Are you having a problem ? If the answer is no , then i wouldn't bother . I'll bet 99.9% of people never change theirs . They're very expensive from what i heard . This is an old old post i know , from a guy ( edde ) who really knows his stuff about all things Renault ...
I think you'll find the scanners only give you the codes not the actual fault ,you have look the code up either in the book supplied or google it . Cheap OBDII scanners can be bought on ebay and can be useful reading and deleting fault codes . If you're getting lights pop up on the dash...
It's every 144,000 miles according to the service book , except for the Clio traffic and V6 which is every 72,000 . I was always led to believe it was in the tank .
I've used Fairy power spray donkeys years ago on Freds recommendation and it does work . Here's a blast from the past post . Read stevo740's review post #31 .

Does the light flash usually when you're going round a sweeping bend , say at speed ?If it does , check your brake fluid level , it might need topping up . This often than occurs more when you've got older discs and pads as the level of the fluid drops with wear . He just might not have put...
Get someone to help you ( watching how far the piston comes out ) , take the wheel and brake disc off . Push the brake pedal very gently so the piston almost pops right out , grease it then push it back in . If it does pop out it's a bugger to get back in lol . I had a caliper a bit like this on...
You can get a new blade cut , it's the fob itsef that costs , they need programming to the car . Try a new battery and see if it works . It's a CR1220 .
I had a problem with mine temperature gauge going haywire when i first bought my 182 new . Turned out it was just a dodgy connection on the coolant temp sensor . You have to take out the airbox to access the sensor , which is easy , then wriggle the wire a bit ( very technical eh lol ) that...
Yeah , you're right . But that was just for the servicing side of the car so your warranty wasn't affected . The anti corrosion warranty is a whole different thing though . As stated , it has to be carried out at the correct intervals by a Renault Network garage or your anti corrosion warranty...
The Anti corrosion inspection " has " to be carried out by the Renault Network at the mileages stated in the servicing booklet and warranty booklet .
The part in bold type is lifted straight out of the warranty booklet !
It also has to be down to either manufacturing or material fault or a...
Not being funny mate . But you've just summed up the reason why not to buy a 182 . Get a couple more years driving experience under your belt , 2 years isn't an awful lot , save a few more pennies , get your insurance down . There'll still be plenty of 1*2's about in a couple of years time ...
The service interval is every 12k or 2 years whichever comes first . So obviously he was abiding by the 2 year part of the service interval and got it slightly wrong on the mileage side . I stick to the 12k part which is usually every 2 years anyway as i don't cover very many miles , but i do an...
Mine are rusted to fcuk , gonna have butcher them somehow to get them out and change the hangers . I know they're a T40 Torx head , i just wondered if anyone knows the size M6 , M8 etc ..... length ... ? Gonna keep soaking them in WD40 this week , hopefully that'll help as access is pretty...
Not necessarily . I've always checked and lubricated both parts of the catch regularly yet it still was functioning correctly , hence i had it replaced FOC on Monday .
Drop it from about 18 inches , never close it gently or push it to close it or you will at some point put a small dent in your...
Tbh , mine didn't look that bad visually . Only minimal surface rust . I've always lubricated quite regularly . When i pull the bonnet release cable now , with the new catch fitted it pops up . Before it wouldn't always pop up , i'd have to get my fingers under the bonnet and lift it slightly to...
