k+n apollo are a good filter .I'm gonna fit mine next week . Nice sound as well .Check out ebay , sometimes they come up for sale cheapish , otherwise they are about £190 , i was lucky and got a new one for £63 delivered :)
I still think i'm right , sorry mate :
Left hand front
Right hand front
Left hand rear
Right hand rear
Thats if the car has abs , just looked in 4 different haynes manuals , thats the way i've always done it . But at least we both agree as long as the air is expelled from the system it...
Hammerite smooth will be ok mate .Better off with the spray you get a better finish . Its about £9.00 a can , keep your eye on ebay , i got 3 cans for just over £20 with p+p .
If you can take off your calipers , alot easier to spray off the car .
Make sure you get all the crap off your...
Sounds a little weird that Ally . I'm not a rocket scientist but a right hand drive destined for France sounds a little strange to me .
I bought my 182 in February of this year from motorpoint . The sales guy told me i had 2 years manufacturers warranty and no AA assistance .
So i phoned...
The correct order when doing a full system bleed is :
Left hand front
Right hand front
Left hand rear
Right hand rear
But to be honest i don't really see this as being that important as long as all the air has been expelled from the system .
The size of spanner to remove the brake...
Imports do have 3 years AA assistance . I used em a couple of weeks ago .
If you have any questions on warranties or AA assistance contact Renault customer service on Tel. 08000 723372 .
Also as said full 3 years warranty ( 2 years manufacturer , 1 year dealer ) on all imports except from...
Like Neil says , remove the engine cover to get access to the brake fluid reservoir down behind the engine on the drivers side .
Dot 4 brake fluid , castrol response is good stuff , Halfords sell it , about £8.00 a litre .Just be careful not to spill it down behind the engine onto the exhaust...
Engine bays lookin' sweet Maz . Always nice to see somethin' a little different . Very red , very niceeeeeeee :) Wheels look the business too , i want em ;)
My old mk2 172 started to run rough under 2500 - 3000 revs , changed the spark plugs and it was good as new .
Like ya say stuff Renaults recommended intervals . 72,000 miles is alot before ya change em imo .
I wouldn't say it was dodgy . He just hasn't registered in his name so it won't add a 3rd owner to the log book thats all . Sounds like it was an insurance write off and hes got the car through the insurance company .
Iirc they were optional in the 182 . I think the 6 cd changer came as standard in the 172 . I'm in the same boat mate , pain in the arse having to keep changing cd's :(
^^^^ A dab of copper grease on the bleed nipple will help remove it in the future .I know what ya mean , they do snap very easily if they've been overtightened in the past .
If they do snap , drill em and use a stud extractor . Stud extractor don't cost much .
If your using Nero . Look along the top . It says " recorder " .Click on this , then select " burn image " , select the folder the image file is in and then just follow the instructions .In the folder you select , you might have to change the selected image from " image files " to " all files "...
You'll be surprised how little fluid comes out , old hose off new hose on , the fluid will leak out but not pour out . Like GavFre says cling film over the brake fluid res helps minimise fluid loss .
I didn't have time to look for this translated page this mornin' i was off to work .
Fcuk knows what they're on about but some of the translations are quite amussing , i'm sure its not translated correctly , either that or the Frogs really are mad , lol .
I typed forum auto.com in google and it translated the website if you want to search for the logos in English , lol .
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.forum-auto.com/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dforum%2Bauto.com%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG
Change your hoses first . Then bleed your brakes , keep topping up the brake fluid reservoir as your bleeding the brakes , keep an eye on the level .
The idea is , as the old fluid is removed you replace it with new fluid .
Can't really see a problem with it to be honest . Theres hell of alot worse chaved up cars knockin about out there .
Not everyone can afford a 172 /182 , so why be so harsh on somebodys pride n joy .
Does it make a clicking sound when it is working ? On my old 172 mine was clicking like mad , got it sorted under warranty , apparently theres a plastic wheel or something that is weak and snaps and its pretty common . Don't ask me what exactly this plastic wheel is , cos i ain't gotta clue , lol .
Wtf is an abs self test , lol ??
Sounds like it might be the suspension top mount if its on full right hand lock and slow speed . Common problem apparently that Renault know about and should fix under warranty .
2 on ebay at the moment " buy it now " £69.99 .
