Re: Upper gearbox mount- turning upper nut looks like its going to rip the rubber mou
Never did undo mine. Ever garages haven't been able to get it undone.
Now there's a username I haven't seen about in a while, good to see you've still got the ph1, shame those wheels have gone, but they were a little worse for wear.
Glad it's still treating you well, mine makes me want to cry at the moment.
I thought the jubilee looked fine, like there was a lot of room, but obviously under the pressure of cornering this isn't the case...
The noise is not even slightly there on normal driving, so the chance of being able to re-create it is less than 0 unfortunately.
I've only managed to make it...
Better. ;)
But seriously....
The ph1's are generally a little faster and have received the nickname "Ph-quick".
The Ph1 has a cable throttle, as opposed to the electric FBW found on the ph2, making them more of an enthusiasts car to drive, it's good if you like a pedal with more feel.
The...
I did notice those tools Danny, but can I not just use some nail pliers which are the same, barr the middle bit to press it down? So if I just crimp it with the pliers then knock it flat?
(I'm aware I'm a pikey, but you took all my £££)
When this happened to me I assumed and was told drive shaft..... turns out I'd snapped the top engine mount bracket (the cambelt cover) and it was being held on by one bolt.
Give that a quick check if you haven't already. Identical symptoms.
No Will, you're totally wrong. I really mean totally. Like no sugar coating.
The ligher engine will have compressed the springs x amount, the heavier engine will then have compressed the springs y amount.
The fact x amount ever existed made no odds what so ever.

Ok then genius....
How does one put a jubilee clip on "correctly"?
The end of the shaft has to rotate, so where it is make no difference.
I've always used jubilee's before on other cars, but I'm guessing that because it's so low the pressure causes it to rub??
Oh and one more thing...
If...
I'll buy myself one of these:

FLOL, awesome stuff.
Complete total and utter filth.
Who were you though? It's starting to bug me.
As for disabling, the car, my personal choice would be to unplug the throttle pedal and tape the connector out of site.
That way if anyone really does try to nick it, they just can't move it...
