I won't be selling it, I haven't got a printer (yet) and the lad that printed them for me is maxed out with his sideline of printing military trinkets.

That's the link to the free STL files I used, anyone with a printer can produce them, you'll just...
That's what the 3d printed bits look like, the STL files are on thingiverse, you just need to buy some 19mm ali, I've bought some Ali plates to make some turn plates too
Should look like this when it's together
Got the Konis fitted today
Arches are filthy from driving it in the rain to get the AD08's fitted earlier in the week, I'll get a few hours this afternoon to give it a proper clean.
I haven't driven it yet to see how much the alignment is out but I've had a lad at work 3d print a set of...
I'm pretty sure it's just a con by 'Big Detailing' to make you spend more money, I've used waxes, polishes etc that were years old loads of times with no ill effects.
I've got some paint sealant (Poorboys world EX-P) I must have bought in about 2012 that I used the other day, was still...

PH Sunday service tickets are available now for the car barn @ Beamish
That's a really nice wheel.. if you're planning on using the personal horn push and it's a two wire one like mine was it will need some modification, it's really straightforward though, just need to remove the earth wire from the back of the horn push dismantle it, drill a small hole in the body...
I went to move the Clio off the drive this afternoon to plug the daily driver in and noticed a little patch of oil under the NSR wheel, thought it was brake fluid at first but had a look under it and the damper was covered in oil, strange as they were bone dry last time I looked which was only a...
yeah you'll want to replace them while it's apart (they're only about £10 a set), and check/confirm end float on completion with a DTI and magnetic base
the horseshoe shaped things are the crankshaft thrust bearing, they set the crankshaft end float and take up axial load, the stuck rings definitely are a big contributor to your lack of compression. I still wouldn't put it back together with bores like that though
some of the prices people are willing to be bent over for to get a timing belt done are insane.
Gates/INA timing belt kit with tensioners is <£80 on partsinmotion and are OEM quality
OEM dephaser is £120
an INA water pump is £29, a gates one is £49
an aux belt is <£20 (I recently bought an...
Done a little bit to the car today as the landscapers weren't around needing access to the skip.
It's done 1000 miles since the engine and box went in so I've dropped the gearbox oil and put some fresh millers crx oil back in it, took an age to fill it as the only clean hose I had was about 6mm...
Yeah I'm out, I don't want a car previous owned by Harry who describes it as 'proper naughty'. Guaranteed to have been vaped in and limiter bashed in maccies carpark.
I'll reserve judgement until we see the dossier. If it's not on a little plastic stand I'm not interested.
Seriously though, it'll probably do good money based on miles and colour alone, but needs an underside refresh if someone is going to hide it away in a collection. I think 8-10k is the...
That corrosion/pitting is quite bad, the biggest off the shelf forged piston you can get for an F4R is 84mm (stock is 82.7) so that only gives you about 0.6mm depth on the cylinder wall for that to clean up with an overbore. If you're committed to keeping that block you may end up having to fit...

That's the rebuild kit I used for mine, once you've got the caliper off it's a 10 mins job to renew the seals and piston.
I got my calipers and carriers powder coated first too which was another £100 or so, if you're not bothered about that...
What are you aiming to achieve here? Going manual steering isn't going to improve the steering feel.
People ditch the hydraulic steering to get rid of the PAS pump and tidy up the aux drive stuff on the front of the engine, and/or to get rid of the hydraulic rack on turbo cars because the...
Got my new seat thanks to @Maccy for sending it on to me, it's a Driftworks branded Cobra imola, I don't love the DW branding but for £140 I can live with it Vs spending £640 on the cobra nogaro Ive had in my watchlist for ages.
I'll see how I get on with it at CSF, if I like it enough I might...
I had the misfortune to be behind this today. It really had it all.. wind deflectors, those fake Louvre things on the 1/4 windows, a noisy exhaust, stick on splitter, bonnet bulge, diffuser and spoiler. A number plate that looks far too much like 'pedo boy', a 'Z' nissan badge and a badge that...
Have you got a mechanics stethoscope? They're good for helping you pinpoint noises on machinery.
You could try removing the aux belt and feeling if the water pump, alternator or PAS pump feel rough, and if the noise goes away with the engine running without the aux belt on. That will at least...
This exactly. If they've been cleaned and flow tested then sat for ages they will need doing again as the Heptane used in flow testing can cause them to stick if you don't get petrol through them fairly soon afterwards
The main thing with coilovers with a threaded bottom bracket is getting them set up properly. 90% of people use the bottom bracket to set the ride height which is the wrong way to do it.
That's a quick explanation of how to do it right.. once you've got the damper stroke set up properly and...
