Looks great for the commute, I'm getting quite annoyed of being stuck in traffic in the ph1. I want something similar, but a company motor may be on the cards after Christmas so we'll see.

Should be fine yes. Just check the fitments inside the hole on your current alloys are the same as the new ones, i.e if they're flat, make sure the new ones are flat, if they're "cone'd" make sure the new ones are too etc.

I like the wheels, a lot, but they'd be 10x better 1" smaller, the stripes on the grille are a very nice touch.

Ah ok, I see what you're looking for. Personally I bought some ford moondust silver (really sparkly silver paint) sanded back the handles thoroughly, primered, painted and lacquered them. Looked mint when I'd finished and pretty original looking.
