i looked into getting one, but i've heard it can't handle blacks well and the sound is pants. I personally didn't like the black shiny surround either

i would be careful of firmware hacks to 360s. If you don't play live much then go for it, but they probly will ban hacked machines sooner or later.

I'd stick with a standard one. There are some good deals if you look around. plus 4 of the games are just xbox anyway?

likewise there are 360 games that would struggle to run on anything less than a £1000 PC

just remember that the developers have had a year to work on the 360 games, and the quality of games of definately improving (GoW, COD3, RS:Vegas etc). PS3 is notoriously difficult to develop for and it'll be a while before it reaches its full potential. I'll be interested in what the PS3...
