My current XBox is chipped with 50 games installed on it. Its class. I'd like a modded 360 if possible, but dont know how prone they are to f*cking up, and with the warranty void I'd be screwed. Hmm...

Can't some of the updates shaft your 360 if it's chipped?

i would be careful of firmware hacks to 360s. If you don't play live much then go for it, but they probly will ban hacked machines sooner or later.

I know Live is the 'Utlimate Gaming Experience' and all that, but to be honest I wont use it at all. Just have a few mates round or play on my own (some of the games look top notch).
Will having a modded XBox prevent me from downloading new software and updates for games though?
