just turned 80k was just about due a replacement belt going by mileage... But have done a few track miles which i niavely thought would be ok.. oops Plugs and leads are only 5k old but good shout on sealant.. bit rubbish about no rocker cover gasket!

Right basically my aux belt went and made my cambelt jump.. 16 bent valves later and I have decided to just get current engine rebuilt.. I have ordered these parts so far just wondering if there is anything I have missed? Any bolts that cant be reused that no-one tells you about etc...

Planning on heading up for Trax as well the day before so will try and get in to see the race! Shame about this weekend but at least you know the car is very competative!

Even driving like a loon it will be fine! Never fails to amaze me how much abuse they can actually take!

Not sure what the glue is but pvc cleaner for using on conduit/windows etc normally gets most stuff off..

Well for reference pretty sure nick charles in his race 106 gti in the sallon series does like 1.23's? could be wrong though... Edit my mistake that was an old report.. 1.17's in his 106 now.. a 1.23 is about the times the corsa's are doing now..

As long as you change smoothly then yeah they can take some abuse.. Mine was pretty much standard for my first track day except for some upgraded front dics and pads.. All depends how much you wanna spend really!

Hardest setting on the rear to drive daily? bloody hell you must have some nice smooth roads.. I run mine maximum soft all round for daily hacking.. Konis that is btw..
