I dont "get it"? lol It would still be a bloody sleeper if it'd had a wash wouldnt it? Someone wouldnt see it and think OMG that 1.2 clio's clean, must have a f**king big ass engine under the bonnet, or some jumped up BWM driver wouldn't think I knew that clio was gonna beat me, it was clean...

Should be no problems as its black mate. As long as you're not just doing the one coat of colour.

I've got the 8v with 90-odd thousand on it, was an RN base spec but i've changed that slightly... feels like its got forever left in it, but it has had every repair going..... Just a few of the things its had done... Head gasket Cambelt failure so rebuild there... Clutch Both rear wheel bearings

Its not shorting as such, but the way i have it wires at the moment isnt right. I need to try figure out why the passenger control on the drivers side needs a loop in it before I put one in. Pretty sure this is how it is as standard, I just need to figure out what power cable i need to run to...

Sorry only just got back on here, passenger side window now working, wires are run to make drivers side control passenger but I need to figure out why i keep blowing fuses when trying to do this..... I need to put some sort of loop into the switch but I don't yet understand why....

Jesus, sounds like you've spent enough time emailing them to get what you wanted. Shows that buying a new car doesnt always have so many ups. Glad to hear its getting fixed though.

In some way.... if i can get the cables onto my new motor, great, if not i'm going to go and get the two motors out of the rear of the scenic, and be VERY careful to get them out in one piece. They'll be free, so its not a problem if they dont work. Gonna have a crack at it now, wish me luck...

I've got it out, now gotta try and attatch my motor to this mech, LOL! I thought it could be but the thing that makes me doubt it is the following diagram in the electric window guide: Btw the guide explains how the motor works.... (my mech had no crossing of the cables...)

Can you?? It has come out of my mk2 ph1, but I believe it to be a mk1 motor and mechanism as it works on changing polarity. Many thanks to those who help

I have actually mate. I'm gonna be taking the plunge tonight and taking the old motor out to try thread the cables onto the new one. Once i've got one motor working i'll test all the switches and give you on if i have enough that work.
