Trust me, vista = epic fail, my old toshiba laptop on XP runs faster, i dont care about the facts and figures, i just care about the physical usability (and the god awful general interface of vista) I'll try the suggestions though, thanks.

Have recently binned off vista for favour of XP due to it using a SILLY amount of RAM, and have used dells website to put all the drivers back so that i have wireless, and everything is working, but one thing.... Having some serious resolution problems, cannot install the graphics card...

Hibernate will stop it, but what you can do is change the settings so that the laptop has no affect on closing the lid, then close it and leave it on a table or something in another room, then it will download happy as larry all night, hibernating it will stop it, although some laptops will not...

Spacers will help you from rubbing on full lock, depending on the size of your spacers longer bolts may necessary, and yes negative camber is what the top of the wheel sloping into is referred to, its often done by the euro crowd and people go to extremes as they think it looks good.
