Bloody wish i could diy, yeah its a 1.2, unfortunately, so if i was offered to have it done for 150 thats a good price? (friend works at a garage)
Cheers
car is 1998, had done 58k when i done it, now at 81, car is driven hard, but clutch not abused, admittedly it was my first car so obv clutch wasn't treated beautifully for the first month or so.
Should it be about on its way out then?
If so is this gonna break the bank? (student)
Cheers for...
Was just wondering how long a clutch should last in a clio? mk2 ph1 RN.
I have had the car for two years now and the clutch was changed just before i got it by my dad, but its already starting to slip??? Is this right?! (before you ask no i don't drive like a tw*t and burn the clutch out)
Is...
Looks amazinlgy nice, but the RB's always do! But i've always loved the original wheels, wanted some for mine before i brought what i did, but i just thought they would be too expensive to get hold of!!!
Of some kind? Flew past it, was sitting in the middle lane, looked rather nice though... Was around 7 PM coming up to dartford tunnel coming from lakeside side.. Any takers?
I seem to spot so many 172's 182's and none are on here!!!
What was under the bonnet of the gold clio? Sleeper? Or just a 1.2/1.4? Interested because it looks like its moving in them pics!
Looks like an amazing day though!
Hope you don't mind me asking...I have done some css layouts, but was wondering is there anyway just to make one box reload or does it have to be the whole thing?
Cheers
Don't think you have to tell them as it is technically no different to having a repair done. Just a more cost effective way of doing it, the dvla must be told, as you have done, but i don't see why you would have to tell insurance. But i'm not 100%.
Looks awesome, i really like it, a bit different too.
Two questions, (both money related) how much does lowering it set you back on insurance?
and how much did the colour coding cost?
A pm would be appreciated if ya don't wanna go blurting it :D
As said, ring customer services. I always find everywhere i go customer services will bend over backwards and authorize things that the shop/dealer simply wouldn't. Always worth a crack.
Looks amazing, is there anywhere or anyone you can pay to pc your car for you?? Would like it done from somewhere.
Edit: how much would it set me back also?
Hey guys, I have a mk2 ph1 1998 Rn and was wondering how hard it is to fit fog front fog lights yourself? They come with the loom but my light stalk doesn't have controls for front fogs only rear, so i know i would need a new stalk, but i have already sourced one of these, once i have this i was...
They don't cover remap, here is a list of what they do cover, mainly cosmetic though...
Air conditioning
Alloy wheels worth less than £1000
Audio system worth less than £1000*
Modifications solely due to disability
Permanently fitted satellite navigation
Sunroof
Bull bars
Tow bar
Stainless...
Well to start with, lie about your age on all quotes and always say you already own the car (try to find one on auto trader with the number plate showing) as i always found this gave me better results.
One company that cover some mods for absoloutely nothing is swiftcover.com, there is a list...
My seat is not moving all the way back for some reason and being a tall lad this is a serious problem.
Only started happening yesterday, thought it was just stuck on something but having a good check, there is nothing there...? It moves forward and back, but just won't go past a certain point...
There was a decent looking JVC i think it was on tv tonight for 400, curry's or something like that it was, look out for it because it had 300£ off or something crazy
Swiftcover.com covers all the following as standard and you dont have to tell them that you have even put them on.
Air conditioning
Alloy wheels worth less than £1000
Audio system worth less than £1000*
Modifications solely due to disability
Permanently fitted satellite navigation

Swiftcover.com, cover a whole list of mods as standard, check it out on their website.
EDIT: also price varies big style with the joy of the postcode lottery
Will he have to tell the insurance though? If he hasn't made a claim? Because he can't due to mot? Might be better to not go through insurance to avoid premium rise. Or am i missing something?
Can i ask where you get your hosting? :D
Not new to webdesign, but only been doing it for college assignments, so never had any experiences with buying domains and hosting.
Cheers
Has anyone used the guys to buy a domain, and also to host from. Only real grumble is that its run by pipex, and what i've heard of them as an ISP is not good....
Thanks in advance.
Whats everyone opinions on them?
Just paid up for a year with them starting monday.
Seems a bit to good to be true? All of my mods are covered as standard with no questions asked? There is a list of mods you can have without them caring... STILL CHEAPER THAN EVERYONE ELSE!!!! Am i missing...
out of a new sport meggy would fit in a mk2 ph1. Was seriously thinking of upgrading interior, (i hate mine) and would love to know if the front AND BACK would fit?
Link below is from another thread, which got me inspired.
