  Ph 1 172
my cambelt snapped about 4 months ago i havent told my insurance as its just sitting on my drive and was not going to take this long to fix but it has due to family problems. anyways im changing the 1.2 8v d7f engine for another 1.28v d7f engine....now i am obviously telling the DVLA but do i have to tell me insurance company or not i was confused at this as it is different from when i first took out the insurance so its classed as a mod but due to the fact there are no gains or anything and its the same type of engine i got confused as to weather i need to tell them? any help lads

Don't think you have to tell them as it is technically no different to having a repair done. Just a more cost effective way of doing it, the dvla must be told, as you have done, but i don't see why you would have to tell insurance. But i'm not 100%.
