Dry ice for the roof would have to be on the outside, not sure how well it would penetrate and once its brittle it still needs a bit of a hit / scrape to break it up.
I tried doing the bits on the side of the gear stick tunnel / rear seats with just laying the dry ice against it but couldnt get...
Worth looking into the lithium ion jump packs available now, I have the one that was made by Powervamp but just recently seems they discontinued it. Sure there will be other brands out there. Fine and compact, light and the leads / clamps are small too. Every battery nowadays seems cramped and...
Get some dry ice in pellet form, apply it over the sound deadening for about 5 mins. Then it literally breaks off in large pieces. Little bit of tardis to get the residue left off. Can do a whole car in less than 90mins
Jack Kemp has stopped doing them if its the same guy im thinking of as not enough profit in it but he has a few sets left that he's selling up. Just put a post on the other day
Some good reading here, who is all offering group n timing then? From what Iv gathered in this thread its bloke and EFi? Is it just the labour involved for the belt change / timing setup and then mapping on top? Would be good to know a rough cost.
By hand is a lot more gradual and can get a feel for how tight it is and stand some chance of salvaging it. Go in all blazing with the gun and the amount of torque applied in a hit can shear stuff. Each to their own though, I know what id prefer to do
Mates garage stopped the guys using their...
Id watch with smaller stuff like caliper bolts as I know some decent guns can shear stuff no bother especially smaller stuff. I always crack stuff off first with a breaker bar to make sure then run them off with the gun
I was the same as yourself, going by measurements it was a no go. However I emailed Nick and asked their advice and was told it would be fine? I'm not overly concerned as the spacers are only fitted on wheels for going to / from MOT station really to clear the brakes due to the design of the...
Mark Fish is currently in the process of setting up a group buy for safety device cages and says should be sorted this coming week. Unsure on the pricing, I think the last group buy gave 10% off the price
on OMP subframes I felt pretty central. However I have just changed to Jon Foz X Low for drivers side and slotted the holes so I could get the side mounts far enough apart to get seat fitted. On trial the seat is still far too close to the door (you can tell just by looking at it that it isnt...
Bend the PAS pipe you mean? Im pretty sure you need to move the PAS pump from its current position. I run the PMS kit but a mate fitted a cup setup and he had the same problem at first and then had to move the PAS pump as it sits in a different location on the cup. Sure there will be threads...
I would do away with the fuse in the engine bay and crimp on an eyelet and then fit a mega fuse right after the battery.
Makes for a neater connection in the engine bay doing away with the fuse
My DC2 integra had a front and rear jacking point, was really handy but I never paid much attention to how it was tied into the chassis for strength. Incase you could find online some photos for inspiration?
Sure a fabrication company could make something up no problem
So much variables out there, thanks for the comments. Did some measuring this morning and I need 7.5mm to confortably clear the calipers for the rota’s. So either 10mm or have an 8mm made for the fronts. Preferably slip on and then I can add the spacer when I swap to road tyres or if its a...
The standard, normal running wheels are fine. Its just the really wet / road tyres that dont and tbh can live without them but willing to give it a try with spacers. Plenty seem to run them including PMS on their own car
Looking for some reviews on people who have fitted spacers and the effect it has had on handling, in particular track days and sprint / hillclimbs which where my focus is.
Iv never planned running spacers however I have just fitted wilwood 4 pots and they are fine with my standard OZ F1’s on...
Surely the pipe needed will be much larger than a brake pipe fitting, more like 1/2” fittings for the steering rack? Wouldnt think that kit would be any use
£350 is more like the going rate for the 1 day training and then test.
If you can, get hold of a trailer and an open space if possible and have a play about reversing to get used to the feel of it.
If possible, avoid test centres that use little single axle trailers! Most places seem to use a...
Simplest and best option is to go do the training and get the full licence. Then your not limited to weights of tow car, trailer or whats on the trailer.
Least then you can use a trailer to its full potential and even use it for shiftinf cars etc for some beer tokens. Soon as you have a car...
Clios are one of the best iv found for jacking points and axle stands at the front anyway, back is a different story.
Can get the jack in at a decent strong point which also leaves a clear point for the axle stand.
Can see where it can easily go wrong, I raise one side up maybe half way on my...
Are your halfords sockets multi-point or 6 soded hex sockets?
Might be better with hex sockets on the gun, less chance of rounding things off if using the gun. Worst thing I found with my halfords set was the lack of hex sockets. Bought a small set of bahco 3/8 drive hex sockets and a rail to...
Pretty sure its these Iv been using for past few years, although the ones I have the hook has a swivel on it so that they line up perfectly.

Cant fault them...
Great wrench and as said, tube is great for storage. Fit the wheel socket, breaker bar and the torque wrench inside it. Perfect combo to have. Well, before I got an 18v impact gun 😂
No comparison at all to an impact wrench, air or 18v.
You wouldnt compare a 3/8" ratchet to a 1/2" drive impact gun.
Seen plenty mates use them and saves alot of time / repetitiveness when running nuts on and off stripping stuff. No stupid torques either so can be used on trims or anything...
Driveshafts are different lengths on the cup are they not, so must be a difference elsewhere for the wider track?
They have more castor due to the balljoint position on the front wishbone but these can be fitted to a non cup car anyway.
Rear has -2deg camber, again can be done on any car with...
You running in the new standard class if its 1a tyres and no camber? Iv always been list 1b tyres so not much use to you, hope you find something suitable! Theres no standard class up here with us so no idea of what tyres have been tried and tested
Noticed that the nsr arch liner has scrub marks on it, and also melted plastic on the tyre so I know it happened when running the standard F1's as its a Ph1. No play in wheel bearing, and running 195/50/15 tyres. Could rear beam bushes have too much play?
Anyone experienced the same issues? Car...
