To add, its in a tiny shed, so usually it gets dragged out and we sit round it like cavemen. Keep old bearing outers as they make great spacers to press future stuff out with.
The cheap cup sets you can buy are very handy and a support plate like this looks dead useful...
...Still some tweaking to be done but overall happy with how much tidier everything is back there.
I've got some longer M8 bolts and 8mm spacers on order so hopefully will be able to drop the steering wheel height enough to get it where it needs to be
And just when I though I can go enjoy the...
Thats normal for clios.

...turret is around 15mm. Way too much. Car body bounces around on uneven roads (most of UK roads then)
My other solution is the machine some 12mm thick large spacers to sit under the top mount bearings. This would take up that slack hopefully.
Thanks for sharing your experience mate. Very helpful.
It removes some of the noise into the cabin, the fake induction noise, but has also been known to fix a noise from behind the dash.
I can vouch for the rear axle spacers from pure motorsport. Easy to fit and make a difference.
They look so cool. @frayz lowered his steering I think?
I got my airbags clipped out.
Has J3_sgy put the originals back in? I follow him but he doesn't post as often as he used to.
...Thanks John :)
Resistors for the airbag light / Find someone local with Clip...? Alternatively book in with Alex @ AW Motorworks over winter
Lowering the steering wheel slightly - Does anyone have any links to bolts/spacers they used? Alternatively the Wheeler Motorsport kit..
Thanks for reading
...about it in a negative way. I didn't keep it on stock springs for long though so I can't really remember what it was like.
225 profile tyres are a common upgrade as they are cheaper than 205 and fill the arches better, especially after adding springs/spacers. I know a few people go 215 too.
...on working on some more stuff.
The list includes a new power steering pump (the old one is noisy and annoying), Dynamat the WHOLE THING, some Spacers (10mm fronts and 5mm rears) and the piece of resistance!
The TRW Performance Turbo Kit
It includes the downpipe, the exhaust manifold for a T4...
In truth I find my BC’s just as compliant as the OE suspension with Eibach springs but then that may be the slightly softer 5kg & 8kg road bias spring rate I went for…
It’ll be going for another alignment soon in anycase to bring back to spec 👍
Re the bearings I removed a disc off of a spare...
...Renault Sport tuned them so they were Road compliant and progressive when pushing on.
As soon as you start messing with springs, spacers, bushes etc you’re naturally going to be fighting with it, unless you spend on a good set of coilovers and set up everything correctly. Even tyres make...
...control unit for £20 delivered
All fitted so just need to be careful with the buttons to keep them from getting worse!
Also bought some spacers - 18mm front and 5mm rear which are now fitted

In truth, I think the rear could do with a little more so will...
I bought a cheap Motamec from ktec.
Originally I bought an OMP wheel for round £175, but sent it back as I wasn't happy with the stitching and finish. The Motamec was around £65, and was pretty decent for the money. It seemed just as strong as all my previous OMP wheels...
...springs (that I had bought way back in May 2022 and pictured above) for some 450lb, 6 inch springs and also a pair of helper springs and spacers (pictured below).
We tried to build the coils up but unfortunately realised that the inner extrusion on the spring divider and the top mount was...
It’s been a little while since I updating things.
Picked up some bucket seats, got two Sparco adv grp tech seats for £350, would probably have preferred seats without the head wraparound but not a major issue and the price was right.
Fitted one, waiting in a harness and the cage for the other...
Check the length of your wheel bolts. I once fitted spacers and the bolts were 5mm longer than they needed to be
It popped the bearing out slightly and ground a nice chamfer on the hub!
So I’ve been running 20mm spacers on all four corners of my 1.2 mk2 for years.
About six months ago my NSR bearing starts grinding gently and then very quickly not gently. I changed the bearing on the NSR buty press doesn’t have the force to get the OSR bearing out. Luckily when I put it all...
...Grams.
Looking at the photos on other threads, mine look identical both sides? So people say they have to go a certain way (flat side out I think it was?) but these spacers are almost identical both sides?
Photos atrached of both sides.
Any ideas? Maybe they have made them universal...
Good evening all.
So I've got my little old mk2 1.6 Clio (pre rear disc model) and as I'm not really using it much now I felt maybe use it for the odd track day and upgrade it on a budget for occasional track use.
Power wise these are nippy little things anyway and despite me port matching and...
They clearly aren't - but they passively look like they have been sun-bleached and faded compared to black.
Similar to those god-awful rear quarter slabs that Audi stuck on their early Q2s.
Couple of things stand out to me, hope it helps:
1. Its clearly modified (black badges, splitter & spacers), but no mention of it in the advert. I instantly assume there are other things - both good & bad - that you arent mentioning.
2. No Recaros, Speedlines or Cup spoiler, id expect one if...
Hi @Duncan.wolfs
The spacer for the Twingo 2 is the same as the Clio 2. This one, which is in stock
https://www.spacershop.com/en/prodotto/distanziale-volante-renault-cliov6-twingo-rs/
There is one lenght, shorter is not doable for assembling and safety reasons. Longer is doable but there is...
Hey @Giacomo-RS how much would it cost for a spacer for the renault twingo 2 steering wheel?
And what do i get with it? (Like different sizes of spacers)
Hi Guys, I recently picked up my Clio 182 and it currently has solid top mounts and they creak and bang over potholes so need to go. I have looked back at previous posts that mention the original Renault Mounts are now modified with a spacer nut included?
Do I go genuine or has any one...
