No changes since you saw her. Should have a nice update in a few weeks though.
Yeah I do have solid mounts and I think they are alright. You notice the vibration when idle but when you hoof it the difference is like the poly dogbone x2 so it picks up nicely.
haha yeah! I'll have a gander at them at the weekend. Hows your car coming along? Do you have the solid engine mounts btw? vibratechnic jobbies
Thanks a lot mate, so nice to hear :)
Cheers dude, found an inferno yet?? :P It's already got this stuff on that lasts 3 years / 10000 miles which I...
I had the same thing with my K-Tec / Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts, from what people had said I was expecting a jack hammer under the bonnet, when in fact I felt nothing other than solid acceleration from a well secured drive train.

So, I'm looking to buy a set. Hint.

Keep thinking of selling the Clio. The wife hates it, we've a new car on the way and I can't justify the costs of trackdays at the moment.
Both front and rear bumpers are marked, the middle dash plastics have reacted to something and the steering wheel has the right thumb grip damaged.
It has...
Hopefully I'll be there in the 172 mate.
Yes I do look back with fond memories Tim. I think it was at It's 'best' when it had turinis, Recaro trendlines,AC but it drives much better now it's ruined ;)

...I imagine your right regarding the turbo limits, the engine mounts are the k-tec ones, it's the full kit, are they not the same as vibratechnics? hard to say how I find them after my limited time in the car, only driven it once to the shops since I've had it, and home from buying it at 50mph...
I'd leave the power as it is but then I like to take risks lol
295bhp must be close to the limit of the standard turbo.
What brand are your engine mounts? I fitted a set of Vibratechnics but sold them after a week as they were awful.

Car is on good tyres. Being honest the suspension is absolute beast. It's not so much the handling, yet more the feel of the car I think.
The car isn't mapped, do you recommend getting a proper map then maybe at RS Tuning or something? What difference is that going to make?
Is it mapped? Running decent tyres?
Getting the suspension refreshed is good too, wouldn't really recommend the vibratechnics engine mounts as it just makes EVERYTHING rattle.
300mm steering wheel is always good fun and not hard to live with - except when you drive a normal car it feels like...
Hi mate

Replace all the engine mounts including the dog bone.
As above, standard for a road car or uprated for fast road/track.
Powerflex/Evol do the dog bone and vibratechnics/ktec do the engine mounts.
So this isn't going to be a big project but I wanted to start a thread in case it progresses later on after a few track days lol.
I'm no stranger to fast cars and once I progressed to proper quick cars they turned into weekend/fun cars and I bought sheds to use as a daily.
Went through loads of...
...Renault shocks , calipers and Michelin PE2 tyres. brembo max pads and Renault rear discs.
It has a Miltek system , DS2500 pads , Vibratechnics mounts and powerflex dogbone.
