Yeah haha one the first two clips, it was the tyre rubbing on the bracket that holds the bumper on. Several smacks with a hammer later it's spot on now

Be interesting to see how I get on on the next one after a few more handling mods. Maybe even invest in some cheap track day wheels and dedicated tyres?

It will deffo feel better with lighter wheels mate, when I went to the ultras from the standard alloys, the steering feel was much improved.

They are 20mm up front mate and 10mm on the rear (rears are stub axle, fronts are hubcentric)

I need to write down a few niggles that are annoying me so that if I keep seeing them i'll get them sorted. They're only small things but they've been building up and I don't want to just let stuff pass me by. So -

• The exhaust is blowing at the cat to cat back section which needs to be sleeved. I need to go out and measure the diameters of the pipe so I can order some tubing to be welded to the cat back and cat.
• Need to raise the left exhaust a bit but it's proving difficult with the mounts. Not sure how to fix.
• The ABS sensor fault is still there (car over revving when coming to a stop, juddery set off). I am going to try and move the target further away from the driveshaft as when fitting the new one I might have put it too far on so that the sensor isn't picking it up properly.
• The cruise control function isn't operating correctly however the speed limiting function is working absolutely great, implicating that my wiring on the steering wheel is spot on. Everything works as it should however the cruise control just simply doesn't activate. I wonder if it's related to the above fault as the vehicle speed isn't available = cruise won't activate.
• Need to change gearbox oil as I changed it ages ago but not with the correct stuff
• Fit the correct locking nut to the top of the topmounts. Currently using a random massive one and it looks stupid
• Tabs have broken off on the gearstick gaitor so going to be ordering a second hand one asap.

On the plus side i've just bought a whiteline antiroll bar which will be here sometime next week

They're all really small things that just need sorting asap really.

I've done a few things, thank god

I fitted new black powerflex steering rack bushes the other day. It was a bit of a fiddly job but nothing my gay little piano fingers couldn't sort haha. Amazing guide on here for it too which really helped so thank you for that whoever did it My old bushes weren't too bad at all but it's nice knowing they're harder now.

I then received a whiteline ARB however the L bracket seen here that connect the arb to the shock weren't present as the seller couldn't find them. No worries though

Went for a drive to wickes and B and Q and they didn't have any decent angle iron that I could use! All so short. Took a blurry as tits photo though

This is one thread I always follow and love the little tweaks you do on your car as I wish that I will eventually get round to doing some of them on my car but the de wiper doesn't do it for me at all. I prefer the OEM plus look of this car but if you like it then that's all that matters.

Cheers dude, found an inferno yet?? It's already got this stuff on that lasts 3 years / 10000 miles which I have on my windscreen, it's awesome stuff and you don't even need wipers on when it's proper throwing it down on the motorway as it all glides off.

Would give me enough time to sort out some track wheels and tyres as i've destroyed my nearside one at the front from curborough with it rubbing which reminds me @Bunta , won't be doing that track day dude for the above reason - going to source some cheap wheels and get soem track tyres for them before doing it again.

Thanks mate, hope your flight was all good hate airports haha I bleive it's from a 2001-2003 scenic or around those years but i'm sure someone will confirm. They go for around £20 on ebay for the whole unit. SUCH a worthwhile mod though, it looks so weird looking at the standard gearknob now can't believe how low down it is!!

You won't regret it baby! the only downside is the material can be quite slippy now and again so make sure your hands aren't lubed up for whatever reason. Might have to start going in dry lol

No changes since you saw her. Should have a nice update in a few weeks though.

Yeah I do have solid mounts and I think they are alright. You notice the vibration when idle but when you hoof it the difference is like the poly dogbone x2 so it picks up nicely.

I had a silver 182 for nearly two years and actually loved it but i wasn't fussed on the colour (titanium) and it would cause me grief starting now and again with the common relay clicking and solid immobiliser light!

I chopped it in for a 225 F1 that I've had for less than a year, handled amazingly but had little niggles that annoyed me, I still have it but it needs new steering arms so it can go though it's MOT then it's getting sold.

I currently have a Seat Leon cupra and I love it, it just isn't easy to spend a day playing with stuff like the clio was! I will get another 1*2 as a second car at some point I'm sure. Once you've had one..! Haha.

You post pictures up just on here or anywhere else?

nice selection of cars buddy! I need a go in a 225 just to see what a turbo car is like. I've never driven a petrol turbo ever!

I post on Detailing world, a biking forum i'm on and Briskoda which is a skoda forum from when I had a Seat Ibiza PD130 (share the same engine as the fab vrs so was on that forum for guidance)

Anyway yesterday I was at some traffic light and the corsa behind me kept flashing its lights and doing some weird hand action like telling me to move forward at the lights I was like wtf I can't move forward anymore you cockolio!! So I race forward and go left as normal. I then stop at the car infront and the corsa winds it's windows down and pulls up next to me...

Is your cruise control still playing up? If the speed limiter works but the cruise doesn't it's usually the clutch switch. Might be needing adjusted or could just be fucked and reading an open circuit.
