Is there a relay bank in the car that houses a main ignition relay do you know? Sounds like a good start. Yeh already got the hazard switch on my list of things to try.

Unless it sends power via the resistor for a low speed mode and direct to the motor for high speed? 🤔. I think the low speed mode was for low speed ac performance meaning I could just cap off the wire to the left plug and just keep the other going direct to the right plug.

They're a large torx bit, I forget exactly what size though. Bigger than all the ones holding the headlights and other bits of trim on.

Yeh me too! I basically had to cut my old sump off because I ruined 5 of them. One thing I've learned is that e-torx sockets are not created equal! the higher end ones follow the doming on the head flange much better making it much harder to mash them up! I will never take my head off again...

is the thermostat on the return flow from the cooler? surely with this off it will just piss oil out as soon as the engine runs? I probably need to get my head around how these thermostatic plates work. Do they send 100% of the oil out the pump through the cooler? or just bleed a portion off...
