Bit of a weird one! But went to run up my track car this evening to find the battery completely dead. Not a sausage. My nephew had been playing with the switches so I assumed it was just him playing around and I had left the ignition on by mistake.
No bother, stuck it on charge for a bit. Then got bored and jump started it off another car. All good until I went to turn the engine off. Turned the key, and nothing happened, ignition stayed on and the engine kept running. Thankfully I have a fuel cut off switch so could actually get the car to shut down.
Been trying a few times switching the ignition on and off. Sometimes it turns off on the key as normal and sometimes it just stays on. Then sometimes it pings off after a few seconds and others it just stays on even without the key. Turning the battery isolator off kill it completely only for it to come back one when the isolator is switched on (albeit with the immobiliser light now going mad because there's no key).
Even unplugged the ignition barrel and it made no difference (once it was staying on).
Anyone seen this before? Bit of a weird one.
