    K-Tec order issue

I waited five months for my induction kit. Phoned up the main number (who said KTEC were part of larger group now?) and went straight to their finance team. Got a really helpful person on the line and I just said I wanted my money back. They confirmed my order number with me over the phone and...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Don't disassemble parts and leave then on a table for the cat to knock on the floor.....

What have you done to your car today ???

Had a service, along with the engine oil, gearbox oil and coolant replaced today. It’s definitely been a while since the coolant was swapped.

Audio help please - front door speakers

They probably just perish over time. Or perhaps the constant low level vibration makes them a bit more brittle?

Driveshaft + boot reinstallation + yellowish stuff dripping

Looks fairly nasty that. Did the garage give any indication of thoughts on the liquid?

    Upbadging Nonces

I find that way more ridiculous and annoying than someone sticking a Veyron badge on a Fiesta. It's the arrogance that they think some casual bystander believes it to be the real deal. And looking at the badge, it looks pretty legit and an accurate placement - so the owner has actually taken...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Thinking of adjusting my GT Track pedal plate to be at an angle - see how that fares. Do many others just leave their pedal bases horizontal, or on an incline? I tend to have the seat, wheel and pedals in a more traditional car position, rather than an F1 style. I've seen some setups where the...

Kyalami is one tough b**ch to get right! :P Such a technical circuit.

What have you done to your car today ???

Debating having a full bush refurb on the 182 this year - along with tracking also. Handles straight when barely touching the wheel, but it's been six years since any of the bushes have been replaced. Felt tighter than a nun's chuff back then.

    Assetto Corsa EVO

Had a quick practice go with the KTMs at dinner. The GT2 forward view is very compromised. The GT4 model felt more fun to drive and was less 'understeery' than its more powerful sibling. Both had really good brake setups too.

    Assetto Corsa EVO

Had a dabble with the 0.8 release yesterday on the new (and brilliant) addition of the Kyalami circuit. It's certainly one of my favourites being so tricky to get right where a couple of the corners still catch me out - either entering them too slowly or overcooking them completely. All good fun...

    Assetto Corsa Rally

I get full FFB if I put the Fanatec CSL into compatibility mode. Looks like a few other people on Steam have reported the same. It's the only game I have that requires this - hopefully it will be addressed when v1.0 gets released.

What have you done to your car today ???

Further to this - made a start on the passenger side today. Weird how crap build-up isn't anywhere near uniform between the passenger and driver's side. The side of the windscreen leading up to the driver's A-pillar was pretty clean. The passenger side was clogged with s**t. Before:-...

What have you done to your car today ???

Not a Pipercross filter that, is it? Keep an eye on it if is - mine collapsed around the collar within a week. A few others had the same issue too.

    Assetto Corsa EVO

Nope. And I think if it ever does see the light of day, I bet it will be chargeable DLC.

    Assetto Corsa EVO

0.8 is now out. Probably most interested in the Kyalami Circuit inclusion. Really liked that from ACC. Early Access continues its development with Release 0.8, bringing new content, additional user generated content abilities and a major VR rework. Where 0.7 opened the door to the AC EVO car...

What have you done to your car today ???

Investigated the small drip leak coming in from the driver's door. Clearly seeping in from the b*****d door card not being sat 99.999954% exactly spot on - so that will have to come off once again. Utter s**t design those things. Anyways, took the opportunity to clean up around the main door...

    BeamNG

I get very wary when games are in perpetual 'Early Access' state. The first release was launched over 11 years ago now. Call it a day - release v1.0 and progress from there. It's like having an 800 page novel and the author still pissing about with the last half chapter.

    DA Polisher recommendations

Polishing a car is a dangerous path to follow. You use it the first time on your car and although knackered, give yourself a 9.8/10 for effort and proper smug view of your results. Then you find that you do it more frequently and while the results are still good - they are nowhere near that...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Yep - 8GB VRAM. Just came off Wreckfest 2 which is still early access. Granted they may tweak the graphical requirements, but not by that much.

    What’s this?

You've got a point there. I've got these on my 182 at the top of the A-pillars. My ex also had a 182 at one point - very new at the time and the alarm used to go off randomly a lot with hers.

What have you done to your car today ???

Yeah, Steve and Andy @ Birchdown are top blokes - but they are 77 miles one way away from me now. Nightingales are a tenth of that at just over 7 miles from work and by a quirk of luck, a work colleague lives about 300 yards away from them. Drop my car off first thing and get a lift into work...

    GTA 6

As someone who's PC gaming dates back to the early 1990s - I agree with the physical content being a nice thing to have. Manuals, novellas, overlays, maps - all added to the experience. That said, I have not had an optical drive in my previous three PC builds. And on the extremely rare occasion...

    GTA 6

True. But with that comes the complete and over-powering sense of superiority and smugness. Why be forced to drink Lambrini when you can savour Krug?

Had the OSF ABS sensor replaced at Nightingales. Finally got rid of the Christmas tree lights on the dash now. :)

    Steam Machine

Interesting times ahead - though I can't help but think it's falling between two established points in the market. It's too lowly in overall spec for the PCMR - especially the 8GB VRAM when already we're being told that AAA titles are hitting the headroom that such capacity brings. Then...
