172 Cup Hillclimb / Sprint Car

I meant to ask you at Curborough James, what trailer is it mate? I need one for my Austin A35 and Clio so that looks ideal but need it to go through a 7 foot opening to get it to back garage when built

    Bumblebee 2 featuring LY R26

Cheers mate i will absolutely take a pair of them if thats ok. Everything on this looks like its been in the sea! As far as im aware lower arms for 225/26 are nla and have been for a while. Not a problem with pov spec arms available and easily modded. Recommend the vibratechnics rear arm...

    Bumblebee 2 featuring LY R26

If you need some anti rotation spacers that usually come pressed in the lower arms then give me a shout mate and I’ll sort you some out. Also didn’t know lower arms aren’t made anymore. Mine don’t look bad but need a refresh so might get them off over winter and get them cleaned and powder coated

    MK2 PH1 1.2 8v Clio Grande - Tidy up project

yeah 100%, and it could do with being a bit lower but tbh the cheap project has started growing arms and legs so that's all for now, ill revisit at a later date!

Zooming in on the pic, could it do with some spacers?

    Pearl Black 172 PH1

The top nut is only really there to stop the damper/spring from falling out when the car wheel is jacked up and off the ground. I have ASTs fitted to mine and am running the standard top mounts. Mine's worse than that.

    Pearl Black 172 PH1

So, one more (frustrating) update. Since i installed the top mounts they sit rather high, as you can see in the pictures: Both sides are the same. I bought a bilstein top mount kit with the new Renault Nut/Spacer. I have researched a few topics and this seems to be normal, but i can´t get...

    AG 200 Cup - value??

Yeah it’s got 19mm spacers and Bilstein coilovers… it does sit really nicely 👍🏼 He sent me a message on here a couple of weeks ago and although I wasn’t planning to sell, now might actually be the right time to let it go. I’ve had a good chat with him and he’s a genuinely nice bloke so feel...

    AG 200 Cup - value??

Nice Stance on that assuming its got spacers as well as lowered. How did the person interested approach you? If someone was just to randomly say they were interested in buying my car and was not selling I would add a couple of grand on & see how badly they want it. Have had notes left on the...

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

My Freddo and Jam is still in the box with my pads so will have well and truly melted by now. They’re a good bunch of lads and they give a damn. Are you going to CSF then?

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

...post gave me a gentle reminder that I needed to order a new stud & nut Kit. So you have cost me money :). I also bought the 68mm ones from @FrogJam Motorsport as I run TD Pro race with no spacers. Nice little gesture in the packaging which made me chuckle, I thought it was very clever...

I have no idea mate, have you a link to his youtube?. Seems pretty nice & tidy apart from the big spacers on the front which must be 20mm.

CSF23 ClioSport Festival 2023 - Book Tickets Now!

The 172 clutch cable is too long. The 16v cable is too short. So I’ve used a 172 cable but packed the end of it out with a spacer. That spacer has caused the pivot point to move meaning it’s putting stress where it shouldn’t. Basically, fitting a gripper diff to my car was the worst thing I ever...

    Ricardo's 200EDC

AST's were on the car when I bought it, H&R's were on the pearl white 220. Brembo calipers are from the R26, 197 era. Have to use 16mm spacers to clear the calipers with OE wheels on a 7.5J Pure Motorsport rear 10mm shims are the go to but I'm using a 5mm universal spacer on the back. I'm...

    Ricardo's 200EDC

White on white 100% works, but, only if matching white. I had them on my mazda and they looked a bit weird in a different shade of white. I'm gonna have to pick your brains about the brembos too, clio 200 or meg 3? Spacers and longer bolts needed? How come you ditched the H&R coils for the AST?

    Monaco 172 Track Car

...own now The offset means they stick out a lot more than the 2118. More importantly they clean the Brembos with ample room! Even with the spacers removed they have loads of space! For a second time my upper alternator got a crack in it. Speaking to a few people it's quite common for it...

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

Forgot to update the stud nut kit, supplied by @FrogJam Motorsport. I went for 68mm as they’re ideal for cars running no spacers and TD Pro Race alloys. They’ll also allow me to run my standard Cup alloys with the centre caps on.

    Grams rear disc spacer orientation

Evening all, Quick question, the OEM rear disc spacers we’re missing on my 182 so have purchased a set of grams reproduction disc spacers Question is, which orientation are they fitted given both sides have a taper and a flat side it’s not immediately clear Any direction/ help appreciated...

    Ash's 172 cup

...by Ashley Hanson, on Flickr Im not looking at doing a track day till after the end of august so, wont be fitting them just yet, the Oem discs & pads on at the moment have plenty of life left. also will be re-fitting the 16mm spacers on the front, then some stub axle rear spacers eventually.

    Ash's 172 cup

Il be honest, I wanted to see how it felt/handled with and without front spacers. On Monday I had a check round the front brakes, a nice little surprise was awaiting me, both front lower Carrier sliders seized solid (one snapped). So no test drive :(, I have a new pair of carriers freshly...

    Ash's 172 cup

wondering that myself. doesnt look like its got rear stub axles spacers. they sit much nicer on them front and back, recently fitted both to mine and looks so much better and didnt notice any difference to the drive. looks a nice example though.

Why did you decide to remove the front spacers? has the rear got stub axle spacers? Looks a nice Cup, enjoy it.

    Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Edition

When people ask you what your dream car is, there's probably more than one. Well, thats my opinion anyway. For me, a 911 was one of those. And I did own a 996 for a bit. The other was a Lotus Elise. Somewhere deep in a box in my dads garage there's a photo of me sat in an S1 back when they...

    Hydraulic Press

To add, its in a tiny shed, so usually it gets dragged out and we sit round it like cavemen. Keep old bearing outers as they make great spacers to press future stuff out with. The cheap cup sets you can buy are very handy and a support plate like this looks dead useful...

    Keeper 182 Project

...Still some tweaking to be done but overall happy with how much tidier everything is back there. I've got some longer M8 bolts and 8mm spacers on order so hopefully will be able to drop the steering wheel height enough to get it where it needs to be And just when I though I can go enjoy the...
