Sorry I can’t answer that as I have gone from one Piper exhaust to another. Post 16 on this thread suggest not a lot.

@JimF Not the best videos. But gives some indication. It seems quieter than the previous Piper system I had on the car so hopefully will be nicer @ Motorway speeds to & from track.

Took the side skirt & drivers wing to check. Glad I did. Less than an hours work to get to this stage but well worth doing.

Just fitted the Piper 2.5 inch diameter with twin silencers. Nice quality & fit was spot on.

@Robproof we had to get one as we lost one @ Donington as well. Lost it last session of the morning, out at lunch to get a new one & back on track straight after lunch without any track time lost. I had in my head it was 110mm long but didn’t want to be wrong.

@Robproof I replaced my lower alternator bolt with a Genuine part & I believe it to be Part Number 7703002732 from my spreadsheet of part numbers. I think @Mr Underhill has posted this part number in a previous post regarding this bolt. Search Lower alternator pivot bolt on here & it should...

Looks a nice base to work with. The Lotus Cortina in the background needed more photos though.:) The Cortina has been in that showroom for a few years now.

Try taking the lights apart & cleaning the connection plug. That’s worked for me in the past.

Modified my centre caps.

Added a bit of Colour to my track wheels

@JimF If getting the Piper definitely get the one with the centre silencer. I didn’t and ended up fitting one myself. Without it the exhaust was just too loud @ Motorway speeds.

Looks like a good trip. Seen it in the background of one of Misha’s videos last night as well as the Lotus & i20N.

Been interested to hear how your mate gets on with the i20N. My 172 doesn’t feel any slower than my i20N so I don’t think you will far behind him if at all.

@FrogJam Motorsport are excellent. When I wanted a part next day (Saturday) for my cambelt change. I phoned first to check stock and the part was dispatched immediately for Saturday delivery.

6000073733 is the L/H standard 172 Cable, According to RPD R/H is no longer Available I Just googled the Part Number above until RPD was in the search.

I have used Jay @ Mendip Auto Services in Wells. Very helpful & Friendly. Jay did my cambelt & other work.

So glad you got it sorted Jon. Must be very satisfying that you sorted it yourself with a little help from Brigsy. I know what you mean about how they feel to drive, took my 172 out to do a few tip runs in today & probably enjoyed them drives more than I do driving the i20N daily.

Hope you get it sorted soon especially after all the effort you have put into the car to make it such a great car.

Hi Jon, this may sound daft but I have had my Clio not start on a few occasions. I have disconnected the battery, left it ten minutes and reconnected the battery. It then starts straight away. Have you tried that?.
