Hi guys,

he took the calliper off for me, tested it and says it definitely isn't...
BUMP
sorry guys going to have to bump this
tried the earths on each rear light cluster and terminals, sanded down and sprayed with wd40 and it's still coming on :(
had ad a look at the connections to fuse box as well and all seems connected
thanks, pm you there with details
just had a good 70 mile drive there and can confirm rear brakes are fine
the pulling problem with front seems to only be happening once the brakes heat up a bit?? would assume the front left is heating up and then sticking causing it to not come in contact...
hi guys,
i have the typical rear fog light on dash iluminating when breaking and flashes when indicating, read the problem is simply the off side rear light block connection being rusty? Going to check it out hopefully today.
Just wanted to know if there was a few other places to check if...
Hi guys,
as title suggestesi have an intermitting steering squeak, noticeable when turning in towns etc
at first i thought it was just something inside the car rubbing on the column when i turned but I have now realised you can hear it outside of the car just as loudly as the inside
i dont...
Yeah that's good, doesn't sound like a huge job really. Will try the handbrake while driving to ensure all is right anyway.
G 172, could you give me a price on discs and pads then? 2002 dci 65bhp
I read in another forum that u can check the back breaks by pulling the handbrake up while driving and u will feed any strange pulsing etc
the front left brake has been squealing a bit this past while when I think about it, this is not even when I touch the brake pedal so possibly if it has...
Braking pulling car to right & locking easily
As title suggests when I break the car pulls to the right, this seems to only happen at higher speeds (above 40)
when coming to a stop from speed and I drive over a small bump the brakes tend to lock up easily, this is causing stopping distance to...
Thanks
thats what what I needed to confirm exactly what it was so I can find the part for him to fit tomorrow before I get the car back.
looks like a wee trip to the scrap yard for me tomorrow then.
Hello
dropped the wee clio dci (mk2) in to get new timing belt, water pump and aux belt fitted todY
got a phone call to say the auxiliary belt had an issue, where the AC would be (mine doesn't have) the mechanic told me there is a simple idler/pully that is hanging off?
Im im not sure how...
No I've never dealt with gear boxes before so don't know where to start?
When I think about it, it most likely all started when I bought the car way back in March during the bad snow!
i got the selector rod jammed a few times, I assume with the snow packing up under the car since it was so...
The egr was taken off the day prior to this post and cleaned
ive ran it two days with no egr plugged in and the car sounds better, pulls better and mpg shot up to 72mpg too, I did reset it but it usually would sit round 65mpg
so very pleased it wasn't anything major just a faulty ergr by the...
Hey guys,
past few months I've noticed reverse gear not going in for me but recently it's that bad I have to think very far ahead incase i case traffic jam as it barely goes in to gear lately
have had a look under car and can't see anything and if I'm honest I don't know what I'm looking for...
this happened a few years ago on a corsa i used to own
turned out it was the sensor that feeds the ecu with the RPM of engine
it should log in the ECU faults if you can get your hands on a OBD tool if not the sensor is only a few quid
*crank shaft sensor*
It didnt do it on the way home after i had filled up
I have since then unplugged the EGR Valve and drove to work with not a sign of smoke and surprisingly not even an engine light since I unplugged the valve
I assume the EGR is faulty, causing less air to be reused in engine meaning fuel was...
Ok so as I said today is worst I have seen it and it continued to do it on the way home
You speed up slowly after maintaining a continuous speed and the car hinders, then you apply more throttle, a huge puff of smoke and as you speed up it disappears
seems to be around the 1.5-2k rev where it...
Hello,
hopefully someone one can help with this?
2002 Clio DCi 65
the car runs perfect since I bought it last year with the odd minor wee problem which has never been a lot
being a dci of it's age it has the usual wee puff of black smoke, really nothing ever to worry about or sometimes even...
FIXED
turned out it was the fm transmitter which I've had for not even a year has gone faulty
thought it was something serious as the car is completly standard not a single mod done to it, just cost
me £1 in fuses to figure out it was the actual transmitter lol
thanks for your help
Yeah so out a new fuse in, switched car on, switched radio on and turned car off and it worked :) the radio turned off
THEN
drove down to shop, stopped car and radio stayed on........ Fuse blew!!
something must be causing this for it to blow that quick, I just used the fuse that came spare...
That is something I never even thought if checking, I was thinking was going to have to replace key barrel or something
wluld the sale fuse effect the cigarette lighter, I have a feeling that may have stopped to when trying to use an fm transmitter in my phone
Thanks very much for the advise guys
what turned out as only a full service has now resulted in £170 worth of parts lol also found a mechanic locally who is well known and will do the cam, aux and water pump replacement £80 all in which I think is pretty good :)
but out I suppose it's all...
Hi all,
around last week my radio suddenly stopped coming on and off with the car as the car was turned o and off.
I assume that the radio is no longer getting an ignition live as if I put it on and go on a long journey after an hour the radio bleeps to tell me it is turning off (the standard...
Thanks for quick responce
according to service book, belt was changed at 57k
yeah I have gone off the idea of a flush although I did purchase some Redex Oil Enhancer the other day as it was on offer, ever have any dealing with this?
Yeah I know def not to buy cheap s**t despite wanting to be...
Thanks, yeah I've thought about this today.
doing a full service, RH lower wishbone replacement and lower engine mount replacement within the next week so will most likely do as u said.
rang a local garage up for a price on the cam, water and aux belt job and he had mentioned to me if I was...
sounds good then, nothing to worry about. Car is mechanically sound which I'm pretty happy about. Good service and a bottle of two of redex and it will be sorted.
Now just to sort a small list of minor things:
- complete service
- replace gearbox mount
- replace RH lower wishbone arm
-...
Right guys, today I got the car in to my garage to have a good tinker.
firstly started off with the EGR valve again, and ensured I cleaned the who thing this time, I did notice however a good wee but of oil around it, don't think that is common:
Also found this (I assume) a sensor of some...

more frequent
