All fitted now, that's how I did it :) I have drilled small holes in upper part of the box, in the locations where original clips supposed to be attached. Then I have run zip ties through drilled holes, and the holes for the clips in the lower part. Maybe it is not completely OEM, but I...
So I have recently realized that I had 5 different inductions setups (lol) on my 172 and thought that I will share my opinions with you about each of them. This could prove helpful for anyone looking for a bit of comparision while choosing induction setup. Please note that it is purely...
For the time being it will be zip ties ;) another quick question - should there by any form of seal between two pieces of airbox ? Or does it seal just by holding them together ? In ph2 box the airfilter was used as seal.
As in title, I have recently bought V6 airbox, which has no retaining clips. There is no chance of getting them seperately, so I am looking for another solution. Anyone came across such issue before ?
Any chance to use screws to retaing to halves of the box, as it is in ph2 172/182 ?
Hello guys,
Is it possible to tell from this picture what type of top mounts do i have in my 172 ? Top hats do not have any marks or parts number on them, apart from odd "7" on the left and "8" on the right.
I will be ordering KYB kit SM1514 soon and I want to make sure I order the right part...
Indeed, interesting read, I wonder if the conclusion was the correct, that suspension can't handle such grippy tires.
Our only Polish FIA aproved track - Tor Poznań. Situation with trackdays doesn't look so bright as in the UK guys ;) there is literally one true race track here, all other...
Thanks for all replies.
In PL a set of R888 is 80% more expensive than set of RS-R, in the same size (195/50/15). I was also under impression that while changing suspension bits will surely improve the feeling and the handling of the car, but ultimately a set of profi semi-slicks would improve...
Hello everyone,
I would like to seek advice from more experienced track day Clio's owners. Last year I was attending track day on our local Polish race track, and it turned to be so much fun that I will be going again this year for sure.
Before the season start I would like to invest some $$$...
Currently I'm choosing my next summer tires for 172, size 195/50r15. It will be either some normal UHP street tire, preferably Pilot Sport 3 or Potenza RE002, or some road legal semi-slicks (as in title, R1r or AD08). And here is question to those who use semi slicks on daily drivers - when...
Ok, so now i'm bit biased towards 15's actually...cheaper tires, weight gain etc etc. I've come across 15's replicas of OZ Ultraleggeras in gold, so if anyone could paint those gold, that would be awesome :) (I've borrowed this picture from this forum, hope author doesn't mind ;) )
Hello guys,
Does anyone would be so kind and change colour of my wheels ? They will be resprayed next spring, and i'm thinking about black, gunmetal or white. So if anyone could photoshop this photo into those 3 colours, I would be really grateful :)
Thanks !
Guys, all these steering wheels look phenomenal. I do have one question - when re-trimming steering wheels, are rubber inserts gone and are replaced by leather, or are they just filled somehow and are covered with learher ?
Nope, that's 16" older version of OZ Superturismo (V6 alike). Ride is quite rough I must admit, but I blame it on lowering Eibach springs that are fitted. In a week or two I will be changing for winter set which are 15's. If it turns out to ride better on those, then 16's will go for sale and I...
Hi everyone !
My name is Peter, and I'm proud owner of 03' Iceberg Silver 172 ;) It will be slightly over one month since I got her, and so far so good. Been reading this board since I've purchased Clio, and now I've decided it's time to introduce myself.
