Yeah it should be reet, I did the same when I turbod my Altezza, disconnect the waste gate so that it is purely venting to atmosphere and it will be running like an NA

Welcome along! It's a different animal to a starlet. I've had a couple. Starlets quicker in a straight line and easier to work on but out of the box the clios handling is a LOT better and it's a much more comfortable daily driver.

Anything turbo related a free flowing exhaust and remap will be good options as I doubt the standard exhaust is up to much more than standard. Where's the IC mounted? Remap and a FULL exhaust Inc downpipe will more than likely show good gains. Small boosted engines can be weapons.
