Spotted on streetview, actually. Just next to Ferdi's Garage https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.7381928,-2.9530676,3a,56.1y,206.24h,74.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s20zwCY0HHvqfk967yzPa8w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
Was there with my mate in his blue mk7 ST (went on track about 2pm-ish I think) Two silver clios were on at same time.
Was one silver clio that was on track in the morning (about 10:30ish) making a huge metallic noise on liftoff around the 1st-2nd corner, any of yours?
The washers on the bumper aren't actually connected up, there's a section on the piping where you can see the T section taken out and just a straight through has been used to connect it. The fog lights are though
The car feels fine though and it's had a check over by a renault (not a...
Got it all sorted, ended up simply going with standard clio bulbs for now and they work fine, the beam is reflected nicely and isn't blinding like the other bulbs were
A nicer alternative than spending £100+ right now
Whilst I agree for the most part, preservation is also important, some of those look like racing versions, some probably fairly prestigious. I'd personally rather see them be preserved in great condition. Plus it's not like every single one is being preserved, there are likely some of the higher...
Nope, I spoke about it to @NorthloopCup and it could be a clutch problem with me, although I haven't really had to use my car lately or had the money to do the clutch, but even then its not certain it's the clutch. However your problem sounds worse than mine? I mean mine isn't that loud but its...
So its good to do a straight swap with the original headlight enclosure (with the different ballast too)? i.e ones like these (those are the projector ones previously mentioned, right?)
A better picture of the back
Back of the bulb
The wires from the headlight going into some cable cover and under a mountain of electrical tape (and a fucked arch liner)
All I could get at with a decent picture really, plus I had to move the car because others needed to access the alley...
Ah, I see how the enclosure is different now after a quick google. I'll try following it back, but the lack of space behind them really isn't helping
Yeah, I want to get rid of them as someone else mentioned how bright they actually were at night
As for the enclosure being glued, wasn't too...
Bought my car back in February and one of the previous owners converted the headlights to use a different bulb/ballast than what is found originally (to my knowledge). Here are some pictures of what it looks like now:
Just a general overview behind the passenger side headlight, the bulbs have a...
The place on lytham road is ran by people who used to work for Renault, I know for sure they have proper diagnostic kits. Dont know about cambelt tools but just go down and ask if they have the proper tools to change the belt on the 182.
I don't know about the quality of HAAS sensors, but Eurocarparts has this for under £40 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Renault_Clio_2.0_2004/p/car-parts/car-body-parts-and-car-exhaust/exhausts/lambda-sensor/?710745571&1&38917b442e4d3627052895ad8848c3d035e002fb&000210
Didn't see you, were you on squires gate or going the opposite way to me? And I dont suppose you go down preston new road/blackpool road do you? Mobile speed cameras down there have been fairly active lately
