It's a valid point mate - I guess 80% may be dead by now - but they would have been enjoyed.

Whilst I agree for the most part, preservation is also important, some of those look like racing versions, some probably fairly prestigious. I'd personally rather see them be preserved in great condition. Plus it's not like every single one is being preserved, there are likely some of the higher spec models still being used in historic events.
