Get a friendly MOT tester....... It is the fact that it hasnt got a de-cat that will make it fail as there is no physical check to see if it has one, it is the fact that that having no de-cat tends to make them fail their emissions test (as far as I understand it)

That should be all of them from what I can rem, you just need to pull it forward 1st to unclip it, and then pull it upwars. Dont try and pull it up straight away.

Thats why I got a normal 172, cant imagine driving 50 miles a day without some of the comforts of air con etc... But its what you want it for. I dont think anyone can tell you what is the best car for your needs unless they know what you are going to be doinf with it (they are so close), but...

No they dont, just the very last ones that have it (I think), but the early ones def didnt and it wasnt an option.

If your trying to sell it, wouldnt you be better to take this opportunity to get it back to standard as you would have a better chance of selling it with no mods on it? As they say in the house trade, de-personalise?
