Well had my car for around 2 weeks now and it was actually like summer outside...... so thought i'd give it a really good clean.
Unfortuantly its only a 1.2 as i'd probably kill myself in anything quicker atm. It'll do for a few years though work up so more no claim discounts :P...
Yes it came with a 1 year warranty. I've only had it 10 days so i'm deffiantly not forking out any cash to fix it. It had a service and M.O.T done the day before i picked it up too.
I'll see if i can give this TDC sensor a clean tomrrow myself. If not i'll take it to Renault and kick up a fuss.
matteiuk. I've been reading about this and several people have said the same thing. The TDC sensor just needs a good clean.
I don't suppose anyone has any pics of where exactly i can find the TDC sensor do they? or could provide a decent explantion of where i can find it, taking into account...
Apologise if this should go in the mechanical section, wasnt to sure, seems to be more about modding in that section :P
So I’ve recently bought (10 days ago) a 2002 1.2 Dynamique from my local Renault stealer. Everything is generally great and a massive improvement over my last car...
Did you get it from a dealer/Renault dealer?
There a certain laws the dealers have to obey and in them i think they have to tell you everything about the car and cant tell no porkies etc. If they told you it has a full service history and it does not you have everyright to kick up a fuss as...
Same car, same pice, same age. Churchill still seem to be the cheapest quotes i can find nearly 3 years on. Usually around 100-200 quid cheaper than everyone else.
Preston/Longton...just down the road from me. Always parked up on the drive tho, doesnt seem to get out much.
Got the best plate ever ;
V6 RN0
if i remember correctly
Re: Renault Clio 1.2 12v Dynamique
Just thought i'd give u guys an update.
After a few days of haggling and numerous trips to the show room i managed to get the car for £3000. That price inculdes what i got for my old car (£500 in the end).
I realise its not the best price in the world...
Hey fellas
I’ve just been to test drive a 2001 1.2 16v Dynamique down at my local Renault dealer. The car is in great condition apart from a dint in the rear bumper which the dealer says they will replace. Its done 35,000 miles and is really tidy inside and out. Comes with a 1 year warranty...
Basically i got a 1.2 mk1 ph3 clio. It rescently developed a hole in the exhaust, i wasnt gonna bother getting a fancy backbox but while its goin for a new one my as well get one. The guy whose sorting knows what hes doin but would prefer a backbox that didnt really need much modding to fit...
My central locking has decided its had enough!!! This mornin it was fine worked great to open it, when i got to work it locked fine. Then when i went out to get my dinner nothing, wouldnt open??? It now only work if i put the remote right up to the sensor. Ive changed the batterys in the remote...

Thanx for the help guys!! Luckly i had enough sense to buy one with colour coded bumpers so thats not a problem. Looks like ill start looking for a decent set of alloys and find somewhere to get it lowered.
Ok ppl ive recently bought a R reg 1.2 clio biarritz. Its pretty much bog standard stuff! Its got some of the worst alloys you’ll ever see, a bit of a CD changer and central locking. I’m not a mechanically minded and the thing is I want to beast it up a bit, not over the top but don’t want it...
