i'll keep my eyes open in the hope that they miraculously get fixed!
How much of a pain are the MC's to put new seals in? Biggred are just over the road so I should get a seal kit easy!
Was just a lucky guess tbh 🤷♂️
I'll try and tackle it from the top, but i may just drag the whole lot through the bulkhead and strip it down on a bench!
Thanks for the advice tonight bud!
oh okay yeah - with a cable clutch I imagine its a bit easier to come through the bulkhead!
I'm gonna take a guess and say you're based in Yorkshire... unfortunately I'm about 3.5 hours south in Worcester, so unless you fancy a trip... 😆
@YorkshireKyle easiest way to take the MC and servo out? undo everything and bring it back through the cabin with the pedal box? then i guess i need to get clip/an rs tuner to make the abs bleed easier?
if you could mate that would be ace!
this might be a job for the week between christmas and new year.
i found this the other day too, maybe it was brake fluid after all...
thought this might be the case...
is it a case of take apart, clean, new seals and refit or is it more a case of new servo/MC?
i didn't notice whether the MC was moving too much, but the reservoir seems to move around a lot on the top of the MC. noticed when i was undoing/doing the cap on the...
so I shouldn't be worrying about it too much?
My reservoir also seems quite wobbly on the top of the MC, is this how it should be or should it be solid?
I was noseying under the dash earlier and noticed I had a small drip coming from the white cap in the picture. I’m assuming it’s brake fluid and it’s coming from the master cylinder. Before I order a cylinder and go about replacing it, can anyone suggest anything else to check first / anything...
@Brigsy i originally thought that it may have been an air leak, but it’s so inconsistent! When I get in it yesterday it idled at 2k cold. then Today it’s at 1250.
It also has a funny five minutes once every week or two that it just slowly dies when I coast to a stop. It doesn’t even feel like...
@Brigsy like this one? eBay Link
how much detail does it show on the live data? i've got an obd2 wireless dongle that connects to my phone and that gives me some live data.
My idle fluctuates when I'm coasting (between 1200 and 2000 on a bad day) but when i come to a stop it steadys out. i just...
@Gus does it read the sensors properly and indicate if any aren’t reading as expected?
I’ve got a real weird fluctuation in my idle and I can’t pin point it anywhere!
Has anyone had any experience with the cheap (£80-£100) can clip tools on eBay?
My 182s developed a fault and rather than throwing money away at sensors aimlessly, I’d rather pin point it and go from there!
I don’t want to use it to reprogram, just to check sensors and see what’s going on. It...
Something in the back of my head tells me it could be throttle body but the readings I’m getting to a code reader are saying it’s all good. I’m so confused with it ?
Anyone got any ideas what could be causing an inconsistent idle on my 182? It never seems to drop below 1000 and if I’m coasting along at 30 it will fluctuate between 1000/1500 until I come to a rest and it will then come down to about 1000 rpm. I’ve changed plugs and leads (needed done anyway!)...
does anyone know any good body shops in the Worcester area? Got a few scratches that I want sorted out, some a bit deeper than other!(previous owner used what looks like a screwdriver to get the sport badge off)
If you take the interior light off, the sensor is just in front of it clipped onto the grey plastic surround. It's a black tube and you can't miss it if you look up there. To take the grey surround off I just gave it a firm tug from the inside once the light was removed
Okay just in case anyone else has had this problem. After checking the cogs and the loom to them I realised the fault wasn't there.
Turns out the owner of the car before I got it disconnected the sensor by the light. Reconnected this and now it's working a treat again!
right guys, the heating on the car isn't working. I've checked the usual plastic female connector under the stepper motors and that's already been fixed (jubilee clip wrapped round it). I went on to check to see if the stepper motor was moving, and it wasn't. Ive checked both stepper motors on...
On the A42/M42 last night at about 7.45 give or take... Reg began X4 K** I think! It was a nice car whoever it was! I was the one in the other BG behind you
Dont think its the cog because the heat does change, but only when the ignition is initially switched on! Gonna take it apart tomorrow anyway and double check/see if theres anything else thats blindingly obvious!
