Brake master cylinder

I was noseying under the dash earlier and noticed I had a small drip coming from the white cap in the picture. I’m assuming it’s brake fluid and it’s coming from the master cylinder. Before I order a cylinder and go about replacing it, can anyone suggest anything else to check first / anything else it could be?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Thats a long way for the brake fluid to travel. Check in the engine bay if theres fluid on the servo, will corrode the paint around and underneath the mc

Does the shaft in the MC not protrude through into the cabin? I’ll try and get a light down behind the engine tomorrow and see if I can see anything!

Oh so the servo comes through the bulkhead. in that case, if it isn’t brake fluid what is it likely to be?
